I've been going to Spector eye care for the last several years. Dr. Schantz, my Dr. at Spector has been great , thorough , attentive and totally professional. Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Edit: My insurance has since changed and Dr. Spector is now covered! I can say that I went back this month (Nov 2022) and he was still as lovely as he was back in 2014. I got my glasses in a little over a week, too (I ordered through him). Dr. Spector is caring, provides comprehensive exam, paying attention to each patient’s needs, and always available for help afterwards. Excellent place to go to if you’re in New Haven and need an eye exam (and have VSP insurance).
