“First, I'll share the ugly: the woman at the front desk in East Haven is one of the rudest people I've spoken to in a long time, and that says a lot! However, Eleanor, who answers the phones and helps with advisement, is AMAZING. When my first instructions on how to put contacts in weren't working for me, I spoke with Eleanor, who gave me some options. And boom, when I tried what she told me over the phone, I was able to pop contacts in easy breezy!

So grateful for Eleanor and the other staff at Envision, except the front desk lady in East Haven, she could use some bedside manner lessons! Absolutely disgusted by how she treated me after I was sent to Madison to pick up my contacts, only to find out they were in the East Haven location. You'd think, if anything, she would have apologized, but instead she acted like I was annoying her when I had a couple of follow-up questions to be sure I was picking up only and not having the I and R instructions.

5 stars are for Eleanor, Chis, and Maria because they were dedicated pros! Would highly recommend this place, just have patience as you would with your child, with the upfront desk at the Madison location, can't speak for all front desk employees, it was just the one that was beyond rude... don't know her name.“

She had a great energy, answered all of my questions and some, and ultimately made me feel very comfortable and heard. I generally have lots of anxiety around doctor appointments but both her and her assistants warm energy put me at ease right off the bat!“

“I've been going to Spector eye care for the last several years. Dr. Schantz, my Dr. at Spector has been great , thorough , attentive and totally professional. Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Simply put Dr. Spector is amazing ( that coming from a perpetual cynic). Not only was he patient explaining my need for treatment , he gave me several alternatives. Laser surgery being the one I opted for. Surgery was not only painless, he was thorough, professional and just plain great. My follow up the next day solidified in my mind that he really cares about his patients and their well being. Hoping anyone reading this does NOT need eye surgery but if you should, I highly recommend Dr. Spector for surgery and any of his colleagues for basic eye care. Richard B.“

“Dr. Liu has extraordinary sensitivity about how the brain informs the eyes and can actually train two different prescription eyes to work more in harmony with each other thus facilitating 3D depth perception. She also understands how and when the eyes are tracking accurately. She’s ingenious with the optical exercises she offers to her patients. Some of these are quite difficult and take practice.“

There wasn’t a person that came in there, that she didn’t help or suggest something for them. Even when a child came in, she gave her a coloring book. The child was so excited.
