My recovery was extremely rapid due to Amy's acute knowledge of what rehab techniques work best for each stage of recovery. She explained the healing process and the trauma caused from surgery and how her therapy addresses each area. Watching Amy interact with other patients, she never uses the "one shoe fits all" approach and tailors each session and recovery plan to the individual. I'm having my other knee replaced this month and look forward to working with Amy again!“

“I started going here last year and have been totally converted into a pilates fanatic. After battling chronic hip and low back pain for years, I finally found something that keeps me strong and mobile, and I've managed to avoid throwing my back out since I started doing pilates. Jan (the owner) helped me learn the fundamentals with a few private classes and now I attend group classes each week, most often with the amazing and supportive Adina.It would be enough to find a studio that helps my physical health, but the Studio of Unique Fitness has become more than just the place where I exercise. It's become a second home that I genuinely look forward to visiting each week. Everyone here is wonderful, from the instructors to the clients, and that positive environment motivates me to come back consistently. I know I will be doing pilates for many more years, and I'm excited to do as many of those years with the Studio of Unique Fitness as possible!“

“I had had chronic back pain for years, but it was my neck and shoulder pain that first brought me to specialized. First and foremost, my PT always addresses and helps to get my pain controlled rather quickly. Then they take the time to teach me correct movement patterns and give me exercises to reinforce them. They have helped get my back, shoulder, and neck pain under control. The staff does an excellent job of helping to prioritize appointments and calling to fit you in if you're on a wait list.I had a bout with vertigo last July, and I was luckily seen quickly, as I was leaving the country for several months. My PT Ellen even helped me make a video of the exercise to help alleviate it. Sadly, I've had to go back to that video since then, but I felt so grateful to have it.My main therapists have been Bill and Melissa, and they are both excellent!! If you need Physical Therapy, Specialized is the place to go!“

The instruction and workout vary slightly by instructor and keep it interesting. There are plenty class times to fit with my crazy schedule to allow me to attend as often as I’d like.The cancellation policy is fair, also. All the instructors have been very kind and patient. I especially love Clairice’s positive energy and drive, Lori’s care and attention to detail, and Aja’s brutal yet effective workouts :)“
