We are now into our second week and both boys have been very excited and engaged with the instructor. Our 8 year old has made it a goal to gain a black belt, has tried to succeed and excel in his class. Glad we found a place like this where the instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly and great at teaching.“

2300 E 120th Ave Suite 112, Thornton“Peak Martial Arts Academy is a martial arts studio that offers much more to the community than just a place to drop your kids off for an hour or two while you catch your breath for the day. Peak is a professional martial arts school that provides a wide range of influential, hard, and soft skills for people of all ages.
Kids who join martial arts at a young age learn to deal with consequences of their actions, how to work through and accept failure, and how to fight through pain and inconvenience. These turbulent subjects lead to confidence, problem solving skills, and learning that there is no right way to do something the wrong way. These are life skills your child will need to help them grow mentally and physically.
Adults who join martial arts learn very quickly that you are not as invincible as you once were. You too will take home things to think about that you can apply to everyday life. You will be tired. You will hurt in ways you’ve never hurt. You will do something amazing for yourself you didn’t think possible, and you will be looked up to by your peers as you develop a new skill that no one can ever take away from you. This is your personal journey to figure out.
The staff at Peak are incredible. They don’t just teach, they learn. Instructing is not a skill you are born with. Peak develops their instructors from the top down and are backed by the strong leadership of the academy. They are true believers, and they act on feedback.
This is a family owned and run operation, which is an added benefit. They take the time to know your name and who you are. They know your family. They contribute to the community in more ways than teaching martial arts. Check out their afterschool program here.
To summarize, I started going here about 2 years ago. My daughter wanted to go, but she was afraid of doing it alone. We joined together and it was one of the better decisions of my adult life for multiple reasons. I get to spend quality time with her, she has a support system to improve her personal skills, and I get to learn some humility as we go through this marathon together.
Try it out. Like, a solid try. Give it a couple of months. They know It’s not for everyone, but you never know till YOU try. You owe it to yourself.“

305 Waneka Pkwy, Lafayette“Mr. Bertin at Vision Quest Martial Arts is THE BEST! He is so patient and able to explain not only how to do the techniques but why it is done in a particular way. He also gets the kids to THINK about what they are doing, which helps them understand the form. And he has a great sense of humor! I, as a parent, am always laughing at his jokes, puns, and antics. I believe he really makes this a place the kids WANT to come to. If you are looking for an activity to get your little one involved in, you should really consider Vision Quest Martial Arts. Come try a free class today!“
“I want to share my experience, my son started karate at this place in 2021. Our experience has been exceptional. My son was diagnosed with ADHD and I can say that at this point his confidence is tremendously strong. Karate changed his life I highly recommend this place. All the teachers are very kind, professional and the energy is very positive. The thing I like the most is that every human being is welcome and there is a lot of diversity. My son's favorite teacher is Sensei Kam, he is an amazing human being.“

It’s never the same workout twice as he has an endless supply of new combos. Each session ends with words of wisdom that seem to be exactly what I need to hear. My kids go to his Tae Kwon Do classes and it’s been transformational for them too. Mr. Schilz brings a consistent, grounded, caring energy. I’m grateful for his positive influence in me and my family’s lives.“

2255 W 136th Ave, Broomfield“I’ve watched my first two children blossom here - my stepson is a teen now and about to test for brown belt, and it has given him so much confidence and athleticism. My daughter has been going since age 4 and is now 7, and this is her only consistent activity over the years. I see the skills she has learned translating into other seasonal sports and activities, as well as increasing her ability to make friends and try new things like biking and rock climbing without fear. The private lessons have forged bonds between her and her training partners that I can tell will be lifelong. My husband and I just started training last year too and we love it! We drive over half an hour because we love this place so much. I highly recommend this place for children and adults alike.“
“Studied Tai chi here and also have been treated with herbs and acupuncture! Fantastic results! Thank you!“

If you’re just starting out wanting to learn Jiu Jitsu, this is a great place. Also Dave is a black belt and a literal wizard, so if you’re a higher belt trying to find a new place to train and learn, this is an awesome spot. Please check them out. Also they are clean and serious about hygiene on the mats.“

2790 Industrial Ln, Broomfield“My son and I walked into Zingano BJJ 6 years ago. He had expressed interest in martial arts and I wanted to learn more about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We both signed up and started training. The kids coaches did a great job of keeping the kids attention and making the class fun and safe. The more that my son trained the more I saw his training influence other aspects of his life. He was more focused, more considerate and worked harder at the other things that he enjoys doing. 6 years later his training still gives him an edge. He does great in school and at football and I believe that this is due to the discipline and training he has received at Zingano’s. He continues to train and compete. The coaches and curriculum at Zinganos are top notch as is the facility. Everyone there is committed to learning and improving each other’s knowledge of BJJ. We train hard and everyone has a great time doing so. I cannot recommend Zingano Brazillan Jiu Jitsu enough if you and or your family is looking for a place to train.“

512 11th Ave, Longmont“I would give a 10 star if i could. Sifu Keller, is one of three martial arts teachers I've had in my life. Taekwondo, Karate, and Kung Fu,,, I was his student when he was white dragon,,,, however, when my son was his student he'd transitioned to Great Way. He made the change for whatever reason. Regardless, I was a student 28 years ago, and one thing I think about to this day, is he instills to his students, is no matter what one goes thru, there is still ones worth. There's still a gratitude, loyalty, and praise in what the person don't see in themselves (if they feel that low),,, and gives them the tools, and power to pull themselves out, (no matter how long ago they studied). I will FOREVER be thankful to him and his school. Greatest Sifu one could meet, or be instructed by.“

“My family started practicing karate at PPMA back in November 2020, and I joined several weeks after that. It's a good family activity and Sensei Bill is great about adapting the class to all students in attendance. I also appreciate that we can arrange to do Zoom classes if we can't make it to the studio. I highly recommend this place!“
