This studio is FAR BETTER than the other martial arts studios we checked out in Boulder and Louisville (and more affordable!). Master Kim actually teaches the class (instead of high school students!) instilling confidence, positivity, self-respect, and appreciation for Korean culture and language. My two little girls (ages 4 and 8) have been taking classes for about a year and love it. Master Kim makes the classes very approachable for small children and adults alike, with classes based on age range/belt level, with many options to choose from each week. It is a wonderful community.
First of all, this is one of few places where the owner/master actually teaches the classes himself/herself. Other places I have tried, there are part-time high school/college kids teaching classes from start to finish, and there is a huge difference. You can tell Master Kim has been teaching for a while, and he really knows how to teach and handle kids. He does not get upset or raise his voice, yet kids just turn into disciplined people the moment the class starts. Taekwondo being a Korean martial art, you will see this place is legit when most of Korean tiger moms send their kids here.
