3425 S Oleander Ct, Denver“Training at Okinawa Dojo has been an incredible experience for our family. Karate here goes far beyond physical skills — it’s about resilience, perseverance, discipline, and emotional growth.
We’ve seen both of our children thrive in different ways. Our older child has faced big emotional challenges, and the senseis and dojo community have supported him with patience and encouragement, turning tough moments into opportunities for growth and confidence. Our younger child has discovered how much he loves coming to karate each week — building discipline, making friends, and being part of such a wonderful community.
As parents, we feel grateful knowing that Okinawa Dojo is helping our children grow not just as martial artists, but as people. The lessons they’re learning on and off the mat will stay with them for life.“

3547 S Monaco St Pkwy, Denver“I’ve trained at this dojo for over 20 years, and it continues to be an incredible place to learn. Sensei Tsutsui (plural - as it includes his wife and daughter) along with the other black belts, are outstanding instructors who truly know their art. They’re patient, skilled, and attentive to each student’s needs while encouraging growth. Beyond karate, this dojo offers a true community and life skills that last well beyond the mat.“

1699 S Lowell Blvd, Denver“I've trained in Martial Arts for 10 years. I think a large difference that I've noticed, in my time in this School, is that we Study more than we simply Train. Every class I walk out feeling the effects of the depth and length of study of the Martial Arts. The people here are amazing warriors who not only strive for their own personal best but they push you beyond what you think are your limitations. A sibling-hood I've never experienced in a decade of training in other schools. The instructors are high class with the knowledge and abilities they demonstrate and teach, each bringing their own methods and viewpoints to help broaden our own. The intensity of the training is much more lifelike and is geared towards real world encounters and possibilities; it's not limited to the ideas of the stereotypical "break the wrist and walk away" self defense schools. The mood is always light, the training is very serious, the work can be seen as grueling, but the results are worth it.“

7506 E 36th Ave, Denver“I cannot say enough positive things about Kicking for Life. Finding the right environment for my son was crucial, especially after moving across the country. We checked out a couple other places, but as soon as my son came to Kicking for Life, we stopped looking. Master Kellye exceeded all expectations. She and other instructors create a welcoming atmosphere. They make every lesson engaging for the kids, balancing the fun and learning. They are creative at teaching not only karate techniques but also important life skills like discipline, respect, and perseverance.“

Lots of wonderful material to learn while too, finding your own strength from within. A wonderful place to find self healing as well as ways of fending off attackers. So many goodies within one school. I am definitely proud to have these people as our teachers.“
