“On a whim I scheduled an appointment at the very end of the day on a Monday to help fix a mobility issue I had with my right shoulder. I expected to get a massage and maybe some instructions for PT, but I left with a combined massage and reiki session and healing beyond my wildest dreams! The massage resulted in immediate relief and I have since returned one time and it has totally healed. Keep in mind that I hadn't been able to move my shoulder without pain for 8 months!The Reiki was the real surprise. I hadn't realized that the busy work-filled summer had taken such a large toll. I was feeling heavy and disconnected from my inner source of wellbeing and the reiki completely transformed my energy. This was one of the most impactful healing sessions of my life-- noteworthy in that I felt totally safe and at ease with Joel, the Reiki Master/massage therapist AND that the reiki resulted in an immediate lightness and relief.The whole thing was a huge cooincidence-- literally the moment the session was over I received a call from my parent who had been injured while hiking the CDT and needed an immediate pick up. The healing session allowed me to be present during an incredibly stressful and emotional event rather than 'rushing through it on autopilot'. “I feel sooo much better!!My pain first started with my achilles, I got that treated, then it moved to my calf/started treating that and then it moved to the bottom of my foot! What the heck?!After doing a little bit of research, I learned that I needed pain massage therapy or sports massage - so I looked on Yelp and found True Balance. They get great reviews, so I decided to give it a shot.Scheduling was quick and easy and on Friday I was able to get an appointment with James on Monday morning. I honestly didn't know what to expect/have any expectations but upon walking in, I immediately felt welcome and at home. The entire space has a calming and relaxing vibe to it. Nothing like the sterile physical therapy clinics you'd expect.James brought me into the treatment room and it felt just like a massage therapy room would feel like - nice and calm and relaxing. After explaining to James my ailments, he got to work right away. All I can say is WOW. In an hour he loosened me up unlike any other treatment facility I've been to - and even though it was painful at times (I've been dealing with this pain/tightness for years) it felt sooooo good!
