Gil and Nick were awesome and took pictures and video to show us exactly what what was going on up there and, sadly, it was a little worse then we expected. Luckily they were very thorough and explained everything to us in great detail for the process, timeline and the products used. We hired them right away and they were able to get everything set up and start within 2 weeks! Everyone we had contact with (Gil, Nick, Jefferson & Tyler) were amazing with keeping us up to date on the progress, and the crew working on the roof was terrific showing up each day on-time, worked fast and cleaned up everything. “FAST. RELIABLE. KNOWLEDGEABLE. HONEST.
We have had missing parts to our gutters for some time and it was finally time to fix them. We called rain gutters specialists and right away they sent over someone (sorry I forgot names) and he was such a knowledgeable man. He knew exactly where and what the issue was. He measured out what was needed took pictures and helped pick the best color to match. It was so fast and easy I was actually surprised how quick the appointment was. The best part is he gave me tips and information for maintenance of my gutters and that was beyond nice of him. He said to be on a look out for email with my quote and by the next day he sent one. They are really reasonably priced and quick about installation. Installation was super fast too. And again the two men were very knowledgeable. When people know what they are doing it gives a peace of mind and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company.“

Adi Aiish, their field manager, was communicative and transparent, and he made our complete rebuild due to faulty construction happen not only on time but ahead of schedule—in spite of the fact that his wife was literally about to go into labor—and his team’s work was flawless.

Part of that is because GroundUp Builders employs the same team every time. They do not hire random day laborers to cut costs, but people who have worked together before, and those people have a groove. That was evident in the quality and speed of their work.

When there was a small oversight, GroundUp took full responsibility and did not attempt to do the usual runaround contractors do where they posture and pretend that you, the customer, are simply unequipped to assimilate the complexity of a five-layer deck renovation, instead of just saying, “yes, I forgot to ask for the cost of the cricketing for 24 square feet of the space.”

“Best West Roofing did a fantastic job of reroofing my 1910 craftsman's slightly complicated roof. The old roof was not leaking but was 31 years old and it seemed best to replace it before painting the house. Best West is an independent company and Samuel the owner and I was in contact with him for every detail. He recommended a full tear-off of the old roof. Although I was initially reluctant to, I'm glad we did as it revealed some minor wood rot problems near the eaves where the gutters had failed. The entire job was completed from Monday to Friday, including tear-off, wood replacement and installation of the old attic vents with newer low-profile ones. Carlos and the crew were on time every day and always cleaned up thoroughly before they left. Samuel's bid was the most competitive of the 3 that I received and I couldn't be happier with the job but especially with the communication and rapport that I had with Samuel.“
