He took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. The staff were also super friendly. I had some trouble getting through on the phone at first, but since I live nearby, I just popped in to make an appointment. Everything went smoothly from there.“

Although her schedule was packed, she was able to see me the next day and I think she ended up working over time to finish up since towards the end I'm pretty sure I heard her tummy growling so maybe it was past her dinner time? Julie is so kind and caring it was great to come back to her practice after over 10 years when I had moved out of the area.“

“I recently visited Dr. Lee because one day, out of the blue, I developed a troubling issue with one of my eyes. I was quite concerned that it was something very serious. I called my doctor's clinic only to find that the wait to see an ophthalmologist in my medical network (UCSF) take weeks if not months. My only option, I was told, was to go to a walk-in clinic or the emergency room, in either case I would be waiting hours for an on-call ophthalmologist to show up. Then it occurred to me to see my optometrist - Dr. Carrie Lee. She saw me that very same day (a Friday), and I can only imagine she had to really juggle her schedule to squeeze me in. In the event, she was able to identify the problem. It was bad, but not any of the terrible options suggested by Dr. Google. Later I emailed her (on a holiday) with a question about the application of a treatment for an unrelated issue. To my surprise she responded with the answer in about 5 minutes (!). Dr. Lee is a treasure who really cares about her patients.“
“It was my first time getting fitted for contact lenses, and I'm so glad I had come here instead of anywhere else. The waiting room was spacious with an abundance of seats and exceptionally clean. Prior to my appointment, I was given a thorough questionnaire about my eye and general health. I appreciated this because it demonstrated an interest in the patient's health as a whole, instead of focusing solely on the eyes. I have been to other specialists who haven't taken much time to consider any other health issues, but being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition has completely changed my outlook since that diagnosis has impacted my eyes. I knew even before I had met with Dr. Anaya, that I was going to be in good hands.When it was my turn to go, I was both greeted, and escorted, to the office space where my eyes would be examined. The staff here was very kind and explained everything thoroughly during my pre-exam. This was especially important since I had always been nervous about getting prescription contact lenses (despite using color ones in the past), but the staff here and Dr. Anaya had made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions.Dr. Anaya took the time to answer all of my questions about my eye health, contact lenses, and thoroughly explained my eye's health to me as well. I have worn glasses for years, and I have never had a more comprehensive and thorough exam! It made me feel as though I knew where my eye health was standing, which gave me more confidence and relief than when I had first entered the office! I appreciated Dr. Anaya's recommendations for my eye health, hearing good news is always priceless. Even knowing my eye health was looking good, Dr. Anaya had validated my concerns and was very reassuring.After getting fitted for contact lenses, I went to update my prescription for glasses. I had just gotten glasses the year before, but they had given me a much weaker prescription and corrective lenses - both, weren't doing my eyes any favors! In the end, I was able to try on glasses until I found the perfect pair. The woman who was helping me find my glasses gave me awesome recommendations since I knew what type of frames I had wanted. I ended up loving her selections and left feeling excited and confident about my new glasses' arrival.Everyone here is so kind and attentive and you are guaranteed excellent, informative, care.“

“TLDR: Came for my first visit a few days ago and had a wonderful experience! I really value when my health-related offices pay attention to the details of patient care, and Dr. Leon and her team here did that for me this week. Also, I love that this seems to be a mostly (all?) female team! More in-depth thoughts here: 1) Was super easy to schedule an appointment online and I didn't have to call in or anything. After I scheduled an appointment, I got helpful text messages reminding me about my appointment and requesting the appropriate documentation. 2) The two women at the front desk were very nice as I checked in and were helpful with providing all the answers to the questions I had. 3) After standard, preliminary testing of my peripheral vision etc, I met with Dr. Leon for my eye exam. She has a very warm and calming persona that made me feel comfortable to be there, and she answered all of my questions with thoughtful answers. I felt like I was in very good hands, which is always something I care about deeply when trying out a new doctor for the first time. 4) I appreciated that Dr. Leon made it a point to make sure all the equipment was freshly wiped down before I put my face and eyes to it. This is the perfect example of attention to detail. 5) Finally, Dr. Leon was extremely thoughtful about recommending a new type of contact lens for me. Instead of just recommending the latest model, she thought through what I said about my eyes now, what I would need to remedy that, and what would be the best next step for the future (the NEXT time I buy contacts), and recommended something slightly different while explaining her reasoning. I really appreciated that. Details!“
