“When our thirteen-year old mixed rescue was afflicted with idiopathic sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome (SARDS) and suddenly lost his vision it was a devastating experience. Following our Vets advice we sought diagnostic confirmation and evaluation from a canine ophthalmologic specialist to preclude other possible pathologic causes. We were able to secure a speedy exam by Dr. Silverstein, who confirmed the SARDS diagnosis and took abundant time to explain our dog's condition and answer all our questions regarding SARDS idiopathic nature. He provided patient and comforting counseling on how our dog will likely adapt to sudden vision loss and how best as owners we adjust to accommodate to our dog's needs. His office staff and technicians were empathetic and very helpful, and Dr. Silverman was knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. I can only provide honest comment on our interaction with CAECC and Dr. Silverman, which was exceptional.“

“Took my dog here a few times when I had just got her as a puppy years ago to get her shots, neutered, etc. after having a really bad experience at another local vet. I felt very uncomfortable based on a few things that occurred leaving me to not trust the vet there so I got my records from them and immediately decided to take her here instead. My experience was amazing every time and it was half the price of what the other vet was trying to charge as they also claimed she had something wrong with her without running any tests (she didn't and they were just basing things off of a google search in-front of me which is what made me feel very unsettled). I ended up moving out of the area for a few years, but recently moved back and my dog had symptoms of a UTI so I decided to come back here yesterday. Once again, another great experience and this will definitely be my go-to vet. They were all absolutely great with my dog (she absolutely loved it there) and I like that they're very upfront about how much everything will cost without trying to get you to buy things that aren't necessary like other vets I've been to. They've also renovated since last time I was here years ago, looks great!“
“The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I felt secure allowing them to handle and examine my ball python. One of the male technicians was very informative on reptiles and helped answer all my questions. The doctor is very knowledgeable in exotics and it is a relief that this location is close to my home. I enjoyed my visit here.“

My family started with Dr. James Sharp when I was a child, way before he opened his own practice, then we followed him to his current location and have been happily with them all these years and through many a pet. Melanie, Maria and both Dr Sharps have always treated us like family. I would not, and have not ever taken my animals anywhere else. “I had to say goodbye to my beautiful dog Jasper this week, at the age of 16 1/2. And I'm heartbroken. But I wanted to take the time to write this review of Dr. A and all the people at Balboa Veterinary Medical Ctr. Dr. A. gave Jasper an extra year and a half of good quality life that we didn't think he'd get. We almost lost him at age 15 and Dr. A saved his life by correctly diagnosing a problem we didn't know he had, and getting him on a medication that got him walking again. Every time we went there, the women in the front of the office always treated him with care and kindness, and Dr. A was always responsive to questions that came up. I live a 20 minute drive from this office, but decided to come here instead of a closer vet for the past few years. It started with an emergency where we couldn't get in at any closer vet clinic, and I was so happy with the treatment we got there, that I continued to use Dr. A as our vet from that point on.“

“We had a really great experience here and are very thankful. We had recently adopted a (very friendly) stray who had been on our street for a few months. He got in a bad fight and had an infection. We rushed him to Sherman Oaks Vet Group and they were able to get him in right away. Dr. Goss did a lot of work on him including a neuter. They cleaned him up with a cute lion cut. He is feeling much better and on the road to recovery. Dr. Goss is so good with pets and the owners. We are so grateful and our kitty thanks you! He is full-time indoor now and so happy and safe.“
