“I've been bringing my 13-year-old tabby Abbi to Bastet Cat Hospital since October 2025. Went in circles with a previous vet who, despite meaning well, really struggled to explain what was going on with her. Abbi was losing weight and having stomach issues.
Dr. Basilious figured out pretty quickly that her kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and heart condition were all connected and affecting each other. The treatment regimen he put together has genuinely made a real difference in her quality of life. I wish we'd found him sooner.
He's incredibly knowledgeable but what I really appreciate is that he always takes the time to explain his diagnosis and reasoning. We never feel rushed and he always answers our questions.
His staff is also warm and amazing. That was especially clear recently during a really scary week when Abbi swallowed a foreign body. We were so worried about what might happen, and both Dr. Basilious and his staff kept us updated throughout the whole ordeal and even called us at home to check in on her afterward. It meant a lot during what was honestly one of the more stressful experiences I've had as a pet owner.
