Dr. Chang and her team are the best around. We came to TACOE during the pandemic with our diabetic senior Dachshund when our vet closed suddenly. Our dog, Oreo, was cared for lovingly and we always felt the same. Sadly, Oreo crossed the rainbow bridge at the end of April, however we will always be grateful for the care we all received. We will be back, when we have four legged creatures in the future. Owen Kugell
Dr Chang is the absolute best! There’s no one else I trust more to take care of our dogs. We moved further away and sometimes it takes us 45+ mins to get there but it’s so worth it because we know Dr Chang will do everything she can to make sure our dogs are healthy.
This review is years overdue. I've been bringing my dogs to Dr. Chang for more than 20 years. She has cared for six of my dogs at every stage from puppyhood through end of life. She is thorough and cares deeply for the pets in her care. The cost of exams and meds are high, but the trade off is that it is possible to get an appointment when urgent and Dr. Chang will go the extra mile when needed. Two examples illustrate why I am devoted to Dr. Chang. Two years ago, one of my dogs became lethargic and wouldn't eat. I called the Animal Clinic which told me to bring him right in. An x-ray indicated something was lodged in his esophagus so he needed an urgent visit with a specialist. Dr. Chang explained to her other customers that it was an emergency and immediately began calling emergency vets to find one with a specialist who could do an immediate endoscopy. Once she found one, she arranged for my dog to be seen immediately. Not many vets would do that. The other incident was two weeks ago. In the late-afternoon, my dog suddenly could not walk or support himself with his hind legs. I called shortly before they closed, and, although they normally don't schedule appointments that late, they told me to bring him right in. He was seen and treated right away by Dr. Chang, a doctor he knows and trusts, rather than an emergency vet. Again, that is not something many vets will do these days. So while the Animal Clinic is very expensive, I am happy to pay those fees to know that my pets will be seen when it's urgent and will receive top-notch care.
