“My 5 and 7-year-old sons have been taking Tae Kwon Do classes with Grand Master Fanelli for 6 months and I couldn't be more impressed! He is a strict instructor, but that's exactly what my boys need to stay focused and motivated. Despite the high expectations, Grand Master Fanelli has a remarkable ability to keep my sons engaged and excited about learning. The structure and discipline of the class have helped my boys develop their listening skills, self-control, and respect for others. Moreover, has a talent for breaking down complex techniques into age-appropriate lessons that my sons can understand and execute. I've seen significant improvement in their technique, confidence, and overall understanding of Tae Kwon Do. As a parent, it's wonderful to see my boys enthusiastic about learning a new skill that also teaches them valuable life lessons. I highly recommend this Tae Kwon Do class to anyone looking for a top-notch martial arts program for their children!“

“If you are looking for a martial arts dojo more like the Mr. Miyagi approach vs the Cobra Kai approach, this place is EXACTLY what you are seeking. Family-run by a husband/wife team and currently 2 of their black belt children (young adults), Exceed puts character-building and instilling a strong base of respect and discipline in their beginners above punching and kicking. They utilize a multi-tier white belt system that graduates through I think 6 levels before they get into the more serious levels of solid colored belts. Sparring is introduced in the last few levels of striped white belt, and competitions representing the dojo can happen in the solid belt levels. Their approach to new students is especially out-of-this-world. As I am typing this, Master Jackson has been sitting on the mat with one first timer and one second timer for the past 5 minutes, chatting them up easily and helping them find the courage to join the group. They have both joined in at this point and all I can see is smiles and exhilaration. These kids feel safe, supported, and challenged appropriately. I am incredibly grateful that my family stumbled across this dojo and I look forward to seeing them 3 times a week for years to come.“

“my 5 year old daughter really enjoyed the class! she is a little shy and I was worried if she would be intimated especially because the majority of the students are boys. but the teachers are really friendly and welcoming. I can also tell they really care about the students and would help them to do the activities properly. my daughter is able to follow along with all the lessons without any problem. I would recommend this to both boys and girls. they also have a new location in Willow Glen (not in yelp yet)“

“If I could give 6 stars, I would. Chuck is absolutely the best instructor my son's ever been with. Chuck is firm, kind, extremely knowledgeable, and such an incredible role model. This is a very safe learning setting - and the hands-on nature of judo helped my son prep for wrestling in high school (no judo in school). Judo was also a key driver for instilling tremendous self-confidence in my kid.Chuck and CJ Judo are highly recommended for kids & adults.“

“It's been a long awaiting review and much deserve one. Our 8yr old son has been going to Sky Family for 3yrs now. Our intention from the beginning was to help our son build confidence. He was very much a shy kid and the shortest kid among his friends. However the last 3yrs, Sky Family taekwondo but especially Master Joe outdid our expectations. Our son, who is now going to be a first degree black belt applies everything he has learned from this studio and his master in his everyday life. He has confidence, focus and determination that if he try his best, good things come out of it. Before we found "the one", we had our son go try out many diff places especially closer to where we live ( San Jose area) and he was either scared or didn't like the vibe there. We almost gave up we came to terms that maybe it wasn't for him. However, we happen to see Sky Family studio just opened up while at lunch and say let's give it a try. As soon my son walked in, spoke to master Joe and Justin... we just knew this was the place. Each Master here truly cares for their students and is so welcoming. Despite the 30 mins drive for us every week, it is worth it and truly highly recommend this place. Thank you grandmaster Yoon and Master Joe for all you do!“

“Our children have been attending TKK for over a year. The kids love their lessons and look forward to it. The masters try to understand each kid, their strengths and weaknesses and instruct them accordingly. The kids learn respect, gratitude and kindness in addition to martial arts skills. We love our TKK community.“

“Fantastic instructors make this a great youth karate program. They instruct with kindness and their enthusiasm is contagious. Various levels of classes helped to find the perfect placement for my child. Older kids learn leadership and mentor the younger students creating a team environment that is both close-knit and extremely welcoming.“

“We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience my son has had here. Mr. RM is helpful and is great with all the kids. At Vision they strive not on success but more on growth and how to achieve success through discipline. I love the fact that the students are evaluated on how they perform at school, at home and at Vision. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!“

“Under the late Sifu Paul Eng, the Tai Mantis Kung-Fu Association formed the basis for my martial arts training beginning back in 1973, when I was 15 years old. Now at 64, the techniques and training in Northern Shaolin Praying Mantis still serves me well, and likely always will. I highly recommend this school.“

“Review by Madhan Raj I wanted to express my gratitude for the positive impact Wushu Central has had on my son since he joined in 2018. Wushu Central has proven to be an excellent environment for nurturing talent in children. Sifu David Chang and his remarkable team of coaches have been a great inspiration to my son. Currently, he holds two levels of black belt, is diligently working towards his third, and has begun his instructor training experience at Wushu. The progress he has made is a direct result of the comprehensive training and dedicated practice he has received at Wushu Central since January 2018. Even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wushu coaches seamlessly conducted online classes, belt testing, and even organized belt award ceremonies at the parking lot . I wholeheartedly recommend Wushu Central to my friends and family, confident in the positive impact it can have on anyone seeking a nurturing and inspiring environment for martial arts training. Thank you for their commitment and dedication to the development of our children.“

“Sensei Wayne Krill is awesome! He is so well-versed that just by watching your moves for few sessions he can infer specific body types and hence problems you might encounter while mastering various techniques. He comes with a clear agenda everyday and pushes everyone (according to their body types) in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming.I highly recommend this class if you are interested in learning Karate the traditional way.“

“Our daughter was the first of the family to join, about two years ago. Master Dave is amazing with kids and teenagers both in martial arts as well as guidance for life. The adults joined shortly thereafter and we've thoroughly enjoyed the breath of the Kuk Sool Won system, from kicking and punching to throws and locks, and traditional forms that make Kuk Sool Won truly a form of art.“

“Los Gatos is truly fortunate to have such an outstanding Karate Studio. The encouragement that I receive from both the instructors and fellow students is amazing. I was very apprehensive to take on such an endeavor as a 50+ female and was concerned that I would embarrass myself. After only 3 1/2 short months, I feel like I have a second family and look forward with to each class. I'm constantly challenged, but never discouraged. I've never worked so hard, but felt so rewarded. My confidence is growing at a staggering rate. Sensei Arioto's knowledge and expertise are easily recognizable. His years of experience and teaching have allowed him to develop strong instructional skills that bring out the best in his students and instructors. Basically, it comes down to he knows what works and builds on that. He is equally comfortable with the young kids and the adults.“

“I moved away from the valley, and after searching-checking to continue practice, I just realized how good the dojo is. All the previous comments have said it all, "this is honestly as good as it gets", ..... It's a non-commercial true shotokan karate practice in a large ballroom gym with many competent, tolerant, kind and considerate high level sensei's (all volunteer) for everyone (kid $20/mo.) If you stumble to this website and live close enough to Sunnyvale and thinking about starting discipline training of any kind, check this out, Tues 7pm, Sat-10am, you will not regret. Almost forgot, it's fun and family feeling too. OSS to all Sensei's.“

“My daughter Charlotte has been attending Taekwondo since March this year. We moved from another studio and I have to say what a huge difference I saw in her technique and forms since then - this was definitely the best decision we made. Master Pak makes sure every kid learns all their forms, kicks, combos and are perfect in each before moving them along. Charlie loves the classes so much, she doesn't want to miss a single day and what's great is that the class is offered 6 days a week. Master Pak and his assistant Brandon are just incredible and work tirelessly to provide a fun, energetic and engaging environment so the kids not only learn the way of Tae Kwon Do but also have fun at the same time. For me, the most important was that Charlotte was learning self defense skills and strength, building up her confidence, learning respect and many other life skills that make her a better human being. I highly recommend this studio for Taekwondo and encourage parents to have their kids take the trial class.“
