This review is for the bjj program at SMAA. My kid is doing bjj there. The kids Jiu Jitsu program (about a year old) is a welcomed edition to SMAA. I think that adding bjj to their program creates more well rounded students standing & on the ground. I'm don't know anything about their TKD program but I see lots of students there (kids & adults) all the time training & learning. If it's as bad as anyone says, why is it still around & thriving?The kids class are taught by Jian, who is a legit brown belt. I've been training at Sunnyvale Martial Arts Academy for over two years and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The building is clean and well maintained. Classes are well-structured and do an amazing job of providing you with a good workout while teaching you incredible new skills. Most importantly, the staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and exhibit the most remarkable patience and dedication to their students. These are truly wonderful people who care about their students and do everything in their power to help them succeed and grow. Great martial arts academy! All instructors are awesome and the whole team is just perfect! It’s been more than two years now since my son started with them, improving a lot on everything including manners and respect..Would highly recommend to all friends and family for all ages!
