1485 N Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas“My daughter has been with Blue Dragon Taekwondo Academy just a few weeks shy of 2 months. Each week she eagerly comes in to train and greatly looks forward to her interactions with the instructors.
My child is a ball of energy who has issues with standing still and is consistently fidgeting. Her father and I chose to look into taekwondo in hopes of instilling more structure and focus into her life and we could not be happier with our decision thus far.
Each class is slightly different from the last but there is always a level of repetitiveness in order for the students to lock in on techniques. The class vibes are fun & exciting but also provides strictness that instills discipline & self control.
I appreciate the level of effort the staff puts out starting from day 1. Whether you have been with Blue Dragon for months or years on end VS stepping on the mat for the very first time, you are greeted and acknowledged by name. Each student is cared for and assessed by the instructors who note students’ characteristic as opposed to being lost in a sea of pupils.
5/5 stars. THANK YOU to Master Tyler for making class entertaining yet strict enough for the students to know you mean business. THANK YOU to Grand Master Nam for being quick to notice and immediately correct the students who need assistance with form/techniques. And… on those occasions where the class is able to train under Grand Master Thac, it is always an exciting & humbling experience. Blue Dragon comes highly recommended for children, men, & women of all ages- YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!“

4040 Papazian Way, Fremont“Both My kids have been going to MAA for close to 10 years now, starting their journey as white belt members to now being CIT-instructors in training. Dedication to the art form is very visible in the teaching style that both Master T and Master Fong display in their class, there are multiple times when they have conducted extra sessions at no additional cost to ensure that all the concepts are perfectly embedded in the students. Going to this academy has not only ensured that my kids learned a very valuable life skill of protecting themselves but also taught them valuable skills of patience, perseverance and leadership to use in their life ahead“

296 Barnard Ave, San Jose“Such an incredible class!! We learned a wide range of practical self-defense techniques that were easy to understand, easy to practice, and actually feel doable in real-life situations. We were also given valuable tips for staying aware and safe in daily life. Paul was a fantastic instructor and took his time making sure my group understood each technique before moving on to the next one. If you get a chance, I highly recommend taking this class!“

1244 S Bascom Ave, San Jose“Our child has been attending CJ Judo for over 18 months, having started at age five, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Coach Chuck is a naturally gifted educator who strikes the perfect balance between being firm, kind, and genuinely caring. His classes run like a Swiss clock, structured, disciplined, and efficient, yet the kids absolutely love them and have a great time every session.
The dojo places a strong emphasis on competitions, which we truly appreciate. Coach Chuck is deeply involved in organizing and judging judo competitions, and his students regularly participate, gaining valuable experience both on and off the mat. For example, CJ Judo ranked the best academy in the 2025 San Jose Open, see results on smoothcomp.
We very much recommend CJ Judo to any family looking for a high-quality judo program. We’re also very grateful to the rest of the team at the dojo, especially Sensei Syria and Sensei Cori, for their dedication and support.“

Whether it’s kids’ Taekwondo or adult kickboxing, he brings so much energy, discipline, and encouragement to each class. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and loves what he does.
AJ is also amazing — always supportive, professional, and kind. Together, Master Jackson and AJ make an incredible team that creates a safe, motivating, and family-friendly environment.
The whole Exceed family is welcoming and supportive. This is more than just a martial arts school — it’s a place where kids grow, gain confidence, and learn from two of the best masters around. Highly recommended!“

43210 Christy St, Fremont“From day one, the instructors and senior students created an environment that’s welcoming, respectful, and deeply rooted in tradition. Aikido is unlike any other martial art I’ve tried—it’s not about overpowering your opponent but learning how to redirect energy, stay centered, and respond with control. That mindset has carried over into other parts of my life in a big way.
The training here pushes you to grow, but never in a way that feels intimidating.
If you’re looking for a martial art that challenges your body and sharpens your mind, I can’t recommend Fremont Aikido enough.“
3:30 - 7:30PM
3248 S White Rd, San Jose“Choi's is a great school and my 2 kids went there and my son did his black belt test there. The dedication of the teachers and discipline that they impart on the students by setting an example is very impressive.
My kids Taeguek forms have been impressive to watch and how they work on it to continuously improve. My kids have also attended competitions through the school and the support and encouragement Master Jennifer gives in that regard is truly appreciated.“
5:25 - 8:35PM
46515 Mission Boulevard, 31832 Alvarado Blvd, Fremont“I was a first degree black belt when I left this place but this place is the best in my opinion. I loved the teachers (master Leo and grandmaster Choi) there. It felt like a second home to me and I truly feel like I have become a better person than I started. It took a lot of perseverance because many people started to quit when it started getting tough, but if you simply keep her head high and strong you are going to power through it and make so many memories along the way. This place is an amazing place and I would 10/10 recommend going here.“
1 - 8PM
12201 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd, Saratoga“Patrick is great! My son likes his class and keeps improving. He will continue to learn here.“
“Sensei Wayne Krill is awesome! He is so well-versed that just by watching your moves for few sessions he can infer specific body types and hence problems you might encounter while mastering various techniques. He comes with a clear agenda everyday and pushes everyone (according to their body types) in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming.I highly recommend this class if you are interested in learning Karate the traditional way.“

“I trained for many years at FSKA dojo in Milpitas under sensei Lefferti and received my sho-Dan from Shihan Funakoshi in 1997.
I learned about discipline, self confidence and how to seek perfection of character from this dojo and I owe a lot to them for showing me the way of life?? I have the highest respect for Shihan Kyle Funakoshi and appreciate his continuous contributions to Shotokan karate-do and for keeping the FSKA alive.
OSS Shihan ??“
