“Following in-office surgical excision of two growths on her leg, my 90-year-old mother-in-law has recently received several weeks of daily wound care by nurses from this agency, primarily by Eloisa. The care was ordered by MIL's dermatologist, and we were referred to this particular agency by the assisted living facility where my MIL resides in Pasadena, having used their services in the past. Yesterday we returned to the dermatologist for the first time since the surgery, for wound assessment follow up. The doctor literally raved about the quality of care my MIL had received, as evidenced by the appearance of the now-fully-healed excision sites; the doctor commented that she's rarely seen such complete healing on the leg of someone in MIL's age range. Based on our doctor's comments regarding the treatment outcome and our experience with Eloisa and this agency, my husband and I want to give them the highest level rating, and thank them publicly for their excellent, compassionate and accommodating care. “We had taken my father into hospital for what we thought was a treatable issue and to our shock he came home on hospice care.In trying to set up caregivers for him I called several agencies we were referred to only to find they had very high rates and with the Thanksgiving holiday there was a shortage of available staff. Then I called Rene with Benchmark, who was also referred to us.She listened to our needs and echoed the shortage of staffing concerns, but went into immediate action to see if she could find us coverage for his first night home and coverage for the next seven days, before any of the formal paperwork. She called me back within 15 minutes and had six of seven days staffed for my fathers care. Because she took immediate action to find us coverage I knew they were the service I wanted for our family.Their rates and policies are fair. Their level of compassion is over and above what is expected.Our caregiver, Karina, for the first two nights was amazing. She listened to our concerns, what we wanted for his care and although he was unable to speak for himself she treated him as an active participant letting him know every step of the way what she was doing with love, compassion and kindness. My brother and I were going to be doing our father's care during the day and she educated us on what to do, empowering us to be vital participants in his care.Unfortunately, my father passed away on his third day home and we no longer needed their services which they handled with grace and understanding.I know if we find ourselves, or anyone we know, in need of care services I will be highly recommending their team.Thank you Renee, Karina and the whole team at Benchmark for making an impossible situation easier.My best wishes to anyone reading this in their search for services.“
