“I first started working with SD Roof Doctor when I was president of a high rise condo downtown. Our 12-year old roof was leaking like a screen door and we knew a new roof was needed. Instead of selling us on a million dollar new roof, Emilio talked us into a PVC membrane with the same warranty, less ongoing maintenance, and 40% less cost. SOLD! The crew was amazing, efficient, and we've never had a problem since.

Years later when I purchased a home, I needed a roof inspection and called SD Roof Doctor. The roof was at the end of its life, and once again, instead of selling me on a whole new roof, Emilio had modern solutions at the ready. I went with a silicone coating with a 25-year warranty. More expensive than replacing the roof with the same crappy 10-year bitumen roofing, but averaged per year, the silicone roof was 30% cheaper than the bitumen option. As an added bonus, the silicone roof reflects 92% of UV (per manufacturer brochure). I didn't expect much by this when I read it, but boy was I surprised when the temperature in the house dropped 4 degrees! This will make a dramatic difference in my summer air conditioning costs.

The crew was amazing to work with. I had great communication from the office, periodic check-ins from the project manager, and the on-site crew did a great job. They tidied up at the end of each day and did a thorough cleaning including pressure washing various areas when they were all done. I really didn't expect the level of cleanup they did of my surrounding patio and I was really pleased with that. The little granules from the previous roof make a mess everywhere and I was so glad I didn't have to deal with them.

They also worked directly with my solar installer, Aloha Solar, so I didn't have to be the middle man on important technical details I didn't understand. Once the old roof was stripped, they notified Aloha who came to install the solar brackets. Then Roof Doctor came back to install the new roof over it, and Aloha was back to finish the solar install. Once done, Roof Doctor came back once again to thoroughly inspect all the work, perform a few touchups, and they even replaced a roof penetration piece added by Aloha so that I didn't have two brands of silicone. While this was required for the warranty, I still appreciated that it was done.

I honestly couldn't be more pleased! A few weeks later the rains came and I slept so well knowing the new roof was done. I know SD Roof Doctor is not the cheapest option in town and that's not what my goal was. I needed quality for a lasting roof from a company I could trust not to take advantage of me, and I absolutely got that.“
