I had an hour long deep tissue massage with Noon who did an absolutely amazing job. She was so sweet, attentive, and professional. You can tell she has many years of experience and knows her stuff. I came in with very sore and tight muscles but left feeling so relaxed. Highly recommend!“

318 Lorton Ave, Burlingame“I highly recommend Project Zen. As a birth doula, supporting a birth can be very physically demanding, and Project Zen has been the perfect reset for me. I used to get great Thai massages here years ago, and about a year ago I returned for regular deep tissue massages. I especially enjoy the deep tissue massage from May, she is excellent. I carry a lot of muscle tension that requires deep pressure, and she is able to really work through it. I leave each session feeling noticeably less tense and much more relaxed. I have also tried hot stone massage for the first time this year and it was incredibly relaxing, if you like heat and pressure combo I recommend it. The standard prices are reasonable and if you catch a sale, which they do occasionally have, you can find a great discounted price. I will absolutely recommend Project Zen to all of my birth clients.“

19 W 25th Ave, San Mateo“This was my first visit to Ananya and I requested “Lilly”. You should too! She was incredible. Small but mighty! If you’re someone who likes lots of pressure she can deliver. I opted for the 90 minute Thai massage. I’ve had many massages both here and in Thailand, and I must say I think this was the best massage I’ve ever had in my life. Lilly was extremely skilled, talented, strong, professional, and sweet. She can continually checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable, and that the pressure was adequate. The atmosphere was very relaxing, warm, clean, and quiet. I highly recommend Ananya and Lilly.“

4060 S El Camino Real, San Mateo“I’m a returning client for izumi spa and I’ve had many professional quality massages here. They only have female staff which is great for cleanliness and comfort, since I would not want a man to work on me. Ive also brought my mom and sisters here for mothers day and my girl friends for spa days. We all love this place, especially since it’s so easy to park. Most downtown places don’t have easy parking at all. The prices this place charges are pretty reasonable, and I think to keep costs low, they charge a small fee for credit card transactions like many small businesses, but they also accept cash if you want to avoid the card fee. This place is really a gem and I’m glad my coworker recommended me. I think yall should try it out and experience the difference yourselves. You won’t be sorry, highly recommend.

240 El Camino Real, Belmont“There are MANY places to get yourself a massage, but this is the place to go for a massage when you’re wanting a firm deep tissue massage which leaves you relaxed and rejuvenated. I only go to see Andy. He is super strong and definitely knows his art of massage. I can’t recommend him enough! The place is always clean and quiet and prices are very fair. A true 5 star business.“

2833 S El Camino Real, San Mateo“Experienced and knowledgeable massage therapists who use the Chinese deep tissue style. Rooms were clean and soothing with low lighting and spa music. Not only did my masseuse end with a hot stone treatment (totally unexpected!) but she also added a hot towel rubdown and head massage. I'm considering getting the package of 20 sessions, but they have a new sister branch in San Mateo I'm going to check out.“

4155 24th St, San Francisco“I’ve had persistent pain around my left shoulder blade and tightness in my neck and collarbone area, so I’ve been searching for a good therapist for a long time. Ray Wong is truly exceptional. He found every tense spot instantly and used the perfect pressure throughout the whole session.
It was my first time trying CBD oil, and it felt incredibly cooling and relaxing. The hot stones were amazing as well—they released tension so deeply. I left feeling healed, relaxed, and finally pain-free.
Thank you, Ray! I’ll definitely be coming back. I’m sure I’ll sleep so well tonight thanks to you.??“

1452 Valencia St Ground Floor, San Francisco“I visited Robin on my birthday while visiting from out of town. I have been having this nerve issue in one leg and walking can be exhausting and stilted.
I would give Robin 10 stars if I could. We had amazing conversation during my session, which was a nice bonus. Even though it was just the one session, I could move with much more ease afterwards.
I would highly recommend and will visit any time I am back in SF.“

830 Taraval St Ste 100, San Francisco“Mandy is definitely a gem. I've been in a lot of pain and having tightness all over from lack of care to myself. I've been struggling to find someone near my since I moved to sunset, and found Mandy on yelp. I was able to book a last minute 90 min deep tissue appointment. We started off talking about what has been hurting me, problem areas, and what I usually do for pain relief. She was so intuitive to feel what was sensitive and needed extra or less pressure during the session. And she is very easy to talk to and explain the what's and why's of our body's pain. I'm pretty sore after, but that's because I have such tight muscles and they've been ignored for so long that they are sensitive. She even did some gua sha on me, which she was very careful to explain how it works and the potential redness it leaves temporarily. I've had gua sha before so I dont mind, but some people could be scared of it.“

6207 Mission St, Daly City“Credentials: I’m a second generation massage therapist who grew up in this industry helping my family run multiple shops. I’ve helped train many of our massage therapists by providing feedback on touch and technique. I’ve also trained with many different therapists from around the US and Thailand. Blahblahblah been doing this for a long time.
What I need is good bodywork and I need it often or my arms will fall off. Mei has the touch and knowledge that comes with time and an intuition that’s hard to teach. Their prices are more than fair, if not generous, and this allows me to come often. I get the pain management massage for 90 minutes and I have her do only focus work. Anatomy is complicated, but she always knows where to go.
I’ve gotten many massages, from no frills to high end. This shop is no frills — I prefer it and let me tell you why: All I want is good body work, I have frills at home. You pay a whole lot extra for frills. Some of the best massages I’ve ever had were in no frills shops. We had therapists who also worked for [a very popular luxury spa] that charged more than double (and their pay was the same) Would you rather pay double for the same massage?
Mei does everything herself and she works hard. She’s friendly, attentive, and helpful every time I come. I don’t speak Cantonese and can communicate with her fine. She could use a better system for phones/appointments, but I don’t mind it. The noises are pretty minimal and don’t bother me, but I’d bring earplugs or earbuds if it did, your own music is always better anyway. For the price and quality of work, she can honestly bring in a mariachi band and I’ll still be chillin.“
“I was a little hesitant when I called to book a massage today and the receptionist told me my preferred practitioner (Julia) wasn't working but I went anyway and I am SO glad I did! Selina is incredibly talented! She asked about the pressure and she was very skillful in both her techniques and her pace. Selina did amazing and I'm so happy that there are options for the most relaxing and therapeutic massages so close to my house. This place is a neighborhood gem.“

“My favorite massage place on the peninsula. If you are looking for ambiance and vibes. Somebody gentle and a five star hotel experience. This isn't it. This is where you come after work and get the knots out. These people work hard to get the tension and whatever neglect you have done to yourself out of your body. Do you slouch on your computer or bend your neck looking at your phone? Do you have tension in your legs? Come work that out here. Post workout massage? Amazing. The price is reasonable and the staff is respectable.“
