I am writing to profess my newfound undying loyalty with Ash Hair Co.. A few months ago I received a cut and color from Jules. Right away all of the friendly professionals at Ash Hair made me feel so welcome. Jules sat me down and was able to decode my ridiculous, often unintelligible, rhetoric detailing what I wanted done to my hair. I showed a few photos, but contradicted myself constantly! As I do. Jules said "I think I got it ;)" and boy did she ever! I am a bit embarrassed to announce, by way of always leaving things to the last minute, and moving around constantly, I don't usually see the same hairdresser more than once. I am also quite picky - and no one is ever able to really do the job absolutely perfectly. That was until Jules.... Jules was meticulous, and completely detail-oriented in a way I have never found before. It made me feel like she actually CARED. All the issues I've had in the past with my color or bangs or whatever it may be were nowhere to be found. She was deeply intuitive, in every way, and had such an eye for my hair on the first try. The gift of this can not be overstated. I am so excited to see her again! If you want a BANG for your buck I can not recommend Jules enough. She's the real deal.
From the moment I stepped into this spa-like salon, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance is a perfect mix of sophistication and coziness, complete with thoughtful touches like pink slippers to replace your shoes and an adorable coffee bar setup. Kiara, my lash technician, was incredible. She took the time to thoroughly understand how I wanted my lashes to look and feel, walking me through all the different lash styles, lengths, and textures. I loved the 1-page guide they use--it made the whole process so clear and easy to visualize. When I woke up after my session, I had exactly the lashes I had envisioned. As someone who's been getting lash extensions for the past 10 years, I can confidently say this was the best ambiance and service I've ever experienced. A huge thank you to Kiara and the entire team at Chic Lash Boutique--I'll definitely be back!
My wife and I had the most amazing 60 minutes couples massage today. We've had a lot of great massages over the years, including some amazing ones on our trip to Thailand a few years ago. The massage we got today rivals any of those. First, the spa is really beautiful. It's in easy to get to location in Mill Valley, and a nice sitting room while you wait for the masseuses. The room where we had our massages was really nice with serene, with calming colors, relaxing spa music, and comfortable mats for the massages. The entire spa was super clean in all areas. I had Ellie as my masseuse and my wife had Sirinporn (owner of the spa). The massages themselves were outstanding. We had both asked for firm pressure, and both Ellie and Sirinporn delivered. My wife and I both love traditional Thai massages, and it was clear from what we received today that our masseuses had being performing massages for years. They both also kept asking for feedback (how is the pressure, etc), which my wife and I love to maximize the enjoyment of our massages. We plan to go back in the near future (and on a regular basis), and we would highly recommend Naka Thai Massage and Spa to others!
Rejuvative Therapy is UH-MAZING!!! The cyroshock therapy WORKS WONDERS with a bit of attention to diet and exercise, which is great for us all around anyhow! But, it absolutely, works on reducing stubborn fat!!! And, Elizabeth at Rejuvative is such a positive ball of energy and so lovely to work with!!!
Got my teeth whitened in office and they look SO good!! She was so nice and always checked in to make sure I was ok. Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Zamorano has help me so much when my previous doctor wasn’t sure what do do for me. One thing I like about her the most is that she listens to me and we work together on treatment plans after discussing options. My health is improving thanks to Dr. Zamorano and I have hope again when I was thinking that I was going to be sick for the rest of my life. Thank you Glow Health!!

Tin has been my go-to stylist for the past few years, and even when I moved away from town, I still come to him for haircut when I am back visiting families - that speaks about how much trust I have in him! Tin is skillful, and especially good with my thick and naturally curly and dry hair. What I in particularly appreciate him is that he will create hairstyles that look nice, fit me, and require MINIMAL maintenance. As a working mother, that's been a life changer to show up looking (and feeling) good without having to spend a ton of time!

I love my once a year visit with Jeannette to plump up my aging curls (*) with a body perm. She is a beautiful person who does beautiful work. And her Mill Valley salon is welcoming, radiating laid back charm. (*) Stuff happens! Jeannette fixes it.

My experience with Misha was all positive. I had a few pics on my phone of the hairstyle I wanted. My hair was already short & has a lot of silver grey. Misha was able to translate the pic to my hair extremely well & I was very happy with the final product. Misha cut with thoughtfulness & skill, explaining as she went if I had any questions. I could tell she was very experienced & very well educated in hair types. Mine is going grey & has a natural wave. I loved that she didn’t try to talk me into colouring my hair & she knew how to handle natural waves. This included the products she used, which smelled divine!! To the way she cut & then styled. I’d definitely go back when I’m back in the U.S (I’m visiting from Australia but frequent Mill Valley)
I really loved that it’s a small salon & it’s just Misha doing the whole job as she’s trained in all facets of cutting & colouring, and it’s not noisy & chaotic like many salons are with hairdryers & people talking over the top of all the various noises & other people’s hair blowing around lol.
I only trust Joi to braidmy hair for special events. She is so talented and her studio is a vibe!

I visited Heather on a recommendation from a friend. Had been looking to put color back in my hair after not dying it for a few years. She did such an amazing job! She was so respectful of my wishes, took all of my inspiration pictures into consideration, and when I asked for some feedback on what she felt looked the best she definitely delivered! Got some gorgeous and vibrant pink strands into my hair, as well as a money piece in the front. Her vibe from start to finish was awesome and I will 100% be returning as a future customer for her! I’ve been to a lot of nail salons, but Resomary Nails Spa seriously has the best nail designs in the area. I came in with a photo from Instagram, and they replicated it perfectly—even better, honestly. The attention to detail was amazing, and the nail tech was super skilled with fine line work and gradients. I got so many compliments the next day! If you’re looking for trendy, professional nail art that actually lasts, this is the place to go in Mill Valley. I'm already planning my next set. Highly recommend!

I’m very particular about where I get my nails done — so many places leave your nails clumpy, thick, or chipping within days (especially with natural polish). Nail Motif is the complete opposite. I don’t know what magic they use, but my natural polish manicures last a solid week — sometimes even longer! The quality is unmatched.
Beyond the results, the entire experience is just wonderful. The salon is clean, bright, and welcoming, with an amazing polish selection. I never know what color to choose, but the team always steers me right — they have a great eye and never miss. The foot massages during the pedicures are next-level relaxing, whether you want to chat or just unwind.
The Nail Motif ladies are warm, funny, and genuinely care about making every client feel like they’re among friends. Even the other customers are kind and friendly — it’s truly just good vibes all around.
I live in Corte Madera and have several salons I could walk to, but Nail Motif is 100% worth the drive. My husband loves them too, and it is his birthday treat every year to go get a pedicure there.

Drove up to Mill Valley from San Francisco to get my nails done and I can say it was worth the drive! Kitty and Kim were very welcoming and friendly. My nails look amazing, they were very affordable too. Would definitely go back again 10/10.

I was in town to see my son, Christopher at noon and I was early. I just drove by and saw the sign and walked in and they took me right away. Sandra did My Pedicure and another gal, I didn't hear her name and I know they told me. I should've asked. Anyway, she specializes in ingrown toenails and I had one for quite a while. She was so good. I walked out of there pain-free and very happy. Love the massage chair. I'll see you again Sandra, Thanks again.
Beside they do a good job with manicure & pedicure, I usually ask for a neck & shoulder massage and foot massage as well. It is a quick way to have a mini spa day, highly recommended.
It was my first time here and I didn’t know what to expect, but the service was above and beyond! I got a Gel X manicure and an eyebrow waxing, the ladies did such an amazing job. Candy took my reference picture for my manicure and brought it to life!! I’m so happy with how they turned out. Brandy did a fantastic job with my eyebrows and took her time with them. I will definitely be coming back!!

Era Salon is fantastic! I have been coming here for years and tried out a variety of services. I always come back here for the eyebrow wax, upper lip wax, and an eyelash tint. I also always request Tao, she is the owner, and very kind and consistent. All the staff there however is great and hardworking. This place is also my mom's go to spot for a manicure and pedicure. I highly recommend era salon! It can get busy so call ahead to book an appointment- they are great about answering the phone & responsiveness.

I was recently referred to Carla Madison the owner of salon Maddison by someone who had amazing hair. I have been going to a salon nearby but was starting to feel that the prices were getting unreasonable. Not only is Carlas salon beautiful and relaxing, her cut and color blew me away. It’s really important to me to love my hair and I haven’t been this happy with my hair in as long as I can remember!! Carla’s techniques are unique and different- techniques I hadnt seen in the past even at very bougie boutique salons. Also, she uses a color brand that I had not heard of but is very specialized and it makes a big difference.
Not only all of that good stuff, but this too: after our initial consultation when I told her what I wanted- she later spent time looking at pictures and sending them to make sure we were on the same page. I haven’t had that level of professionalism and service ever - I don’t think.
If you’re considering trying her, don’t hesitate because you will be so happy!!
Joy is a real Pro.....I've been going to her for a long time and would not go anywhere else even though I moved to Sonoma County. I have challenging hair and she always manages to create a lovely cut and color. My husband also has started going and his hair has never looked better. Joy is an artist!
With the caveat of previous reviews and acknowledgement that this is an institution, a neighborhood gem, a social hub and haven for women with stories to tell and share, I was referred to Lea several years ago when I was looking for someone to re-perm my hair. That's right. I said "perm." I know, I know, but it's not the 80's anymore and it doesn't have to be synonymous with frizz. The trick is, few salons offer the service. I explained to her what I was looking for: a gentle wave to add body and shape to my otherwise straight Asian hair. I like being able to wash my hair, let it air dry. The perm lets me feel like I've styled it when in fact I'm incredibly lazy. She asked for enough time to buy the right green curlers for the job and we scheduled for a morning about a month later. It's a big job. My hair falls near my waist and I have a lot of it. She usually alternates between green and coral rods to provide a mix of tighter and looser curls. While I only tend to visit once a year, Lea has remembered me from year to year and she's thoughtful and sweet, always doing her best to keep me comfortable while I sit under the heater or reclining in the sink with my head heavy with curlers and neutralizer. The results are worth it: beautiful waves that last for months. (It also doesn't hurt that her prices are reasonable!)

This is a review for Jackie Larkins, who did hair for my wedding this past weekend (for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom). Jackie was incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process, and she really listened to my feedback after the trial. She was so much fun on the day, and moved efficiently but carefully through everyone, keeping our timeline on track. She gave us all updo's that complemented each other but were unique to each person, and my hair stayed perfectly in place despite crazy heat and 3 hours of intense dancing! I'm very glad I chose Jackie for my big day and would recommend her to anyone else looking for special occasion hair.

My hair stylist moved to the East Coast and a friend of mine recommended Linda at Sunnyside Salon. I had my 3rd haircut by her and I'm really happy with the way she cuts my hair. I have very fine, curly hair and she manages to make it look more bouncy and full-bodied. She also put High- and Low-Lights in. Looks fantastic without breaking the bank. I'm so grateful to have found a great hair artist!

Valentyna went above and beyond all my expectations. She was so warm and welcoming; it was easy to feel comfortable and relaxed in her cozy private studio. Valentyna is one of a very few number of facialists who are trained in the art of Buccal Massage, which involves massaging muscles deep inside the cheek and jaw area to release tension and improve circulation. She offers this as part of her Sculptural Face Lifting Facial. I specifically found her in hopes she could provide me some relief from chronic TMJ tension. Her touch was powerful yet gentle and precise. And the high quality products she used for the facial were natural and organic. I feel so much better and my skin looks amazing. Ivan and his team including Tony and Hector demoed and rebuilt my kitchen. I couldn't be happier. They worked quickly, without disturbing my neighbors, and left my place remarkably clean every evening. They navigated all city inspections and adjusted for changes in plans. I love my new kitchen. Pricing seemed extremely reasonable and the entire experience was a pleasure. I'd recommend Ivan and his team to anyone.
This is the coolest secret hangout in Mill Valley. Such a special place to pop in and chill, or bring a friend and enjoy a cup of tea and a game. Not only are there several really cool chill spaces, there seems to be an endless supply of tea and sometimes cookies that just magically appear. The art installations are top notch. What a unique find and creative idea, we are so lucky to have a place like this. It's kinda hard to explain, so just go check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.
My garden was overgrown with weeds and really needed help. I interviewed 4 different landscaping companies and Bill had the best quote for the big job needed. He completely landscaped my garden according to my vision of having a sort of French country garden. He installed a drip irrigation system that continues to save water use several years hence. He also provides monthly upkeep and is always responsive to my phone calls. I don't know what happened with the prior customer review, but I know from my personal experience with Bill that he would give an honest response regarding feasibility of landscaping a garden for a reasonable cost. I wouldn't use anyone else as he has proven himself trustworthy over the three years he has worked on the upkeep of his design. I love driving up to my home and seeing the beautiful, lush garden surrounding it. It makes such a difference!
Bob and his team are awesome. They rescued our cat who had been stuck 40 feet up a poison-oak covered pine tree. Great people and highly recommended.
Steve and his team have been out to our property on four different occasions to take down old growth pines that the county recommended we remove. Each time, they’ve done a fantastic job and leave the property looking better than when they arrived. I found that he only recommends work that has to be done - and goes out of his way to save Trees that have a nice life ahead of them. I highly recommend their service.
Mill Valley Dentistry is the best dental practice I’ve ever experienced. Dr Abrams and Dr Lee are both excellent. They explain everything in advance of the procedure and are very thorough and gentle. I am having a crown replaced and there was no pain or discomfort involved. Their dental assistant John is also very experienced and kind. Plus the office is comfortable and cheery. Ive had many dentists over my lifetime and I can say that I’m really impressed with Mill Valley Dentistry.

I came here while visiting family in Mill Valley. I needed to update my pups vaccines and they were able to get Mushu in right away. The staff are very friendly and it’s the kind of place that feels like a trusted neighborhood clinic that’s been attending to pets for a long time. Dr Willitt is so friendly and knowledgeable and Mushu was calm in his care.

If you are looking for one on one pilates instruction I highly recommend Carmen Zeni. And if you haven't considered it I would encourage trying it. I am starting my third year of pilates with Carmen. I am an athlete; played college tennis and still do. Pilates - is critical to my ability, at 74, to play singles 2,3 times a week. And to work on my overall strength and flexibility and posture. Carmen has a rare combination deep pilates knowledge, knowledge of the human body and people skills. My flexibility and body strength has increased since I started and Carmen has been great helping me rehab from various injuries when needed. Her studio has great gear including a reformer, trapeze table and core align. If you want to learn pilates or expand your work Carmen's studio wonderful.
Cheryl is fantastic! So knowledgeable and experienced. I always feel better after a session, and it has greatly helped strengthen my back, as well as reduce my lower back pain. I'm so glad she's my Pilates instructor.
There’s massage, then there’s Lucy’s medical massage. She listens to my concerns, asks questions until my condition is clear, then she firmly attacks the problems. I’d never had deep tissue massage before and it is exactly what I needed. The ongoing stress of our lives often requires serious attention, and Lucy is a professional who can provide relief. She also suggested several steps that I can take additionally to help maintain better mobility.

Brittany is an amazing massage therapist! I've been very lucky to have had a lot of nice massages in the last couple of years, and her massage was top notch! She listened to my needs, and focused on the areas I talked about, and more. I felt sooo good after, and wish I had booked a 2hr massage. She welcomes you with a nice hibiscus tea, and at the end of the session gave me a delicious dried fruit and nuts snack, as well as a little hot tea. I will return, and highly recommend Brittany!

For almost a year I suffered from chronic nerve pain that ran from my neck down my left shoulder and arm, all the way to my fingers. Several neurosurgeons unanimously agreed I needed to get an ACDF, or disc removal with fusion of my cervical spine. I resisted surgery and instead went through months of PT, massage, red light therapy, cold plunging, saunas, and accupuncture (with another practitioner) to no avail. Eventually I found my way to Kyle, where finally I slowly started to make legitimate progress towards not only healing my nerve pain, but more importantly understanding the nature of it. After several months of working with Kyle, my nerve pain dissipated to the point that I no longer need to see him regularly.
I am at a loss for words to express how grateful I am to Kyle for his graceful manner and profound understanding of the human structure and all of its intricate connections. He’s a tremendous listener, acutely observant, and highly effective at communicating his understanding of what is going on and how he is addressing the issue. I was referred to Dalila of Waterfall healing last year. She has a lovely space , great presence. She is totally present the whole time. She asks if you are comfortable but not every 15 minutes as some do. She is strong and gets into the places that need help. We may talk for a few minutes during the massage but then quiet which for me is important. I receive 90 minute massages. I mostly go on Sunday as I know it will be really quiet with no one else around. She uses essential oils ( not the mlm ones) John Steele’s which are in the top 1 percent of quality and smells. I am an aroma therapist for over 35 years so know my oils, Ask for one of the jasmines, orange blossom, magnolia or ylang ylang (very sweet).

I love going to Almonte when the world is just too much, and Olga is my absolute favorite. She is an amazing masseuse, and also will clear any difficult energies you may be carrying with her touch, and work with you energetically if you are attuned to that stuff. When I feel overwhelmed by life, she is my remedy. I also love relaxing in the hot tub for half an hour before my massage - Almonte has a great old-school vibe.
I had a sciatica problem and received excellent care at Renew. I worked with a physical therapist the entire visit, rather than a PT Aid showing me my follow on exercises. I worked with Anna and Cassie, and both were excellent! When I had questions in between visits, they responded that day, either by phone or email. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient. After my sciatica was resolved, I left with a maintenance set of exercises that will help prevent it from recurring. Very happy with Renew!
Not only is this kind of body work amazing but the practitioners here all have lots of other and varied skills that can really help you get out of the bind you're in with your body. They do a lot of work to release trauma impingements that cause downstream pain and dysfunctions. As well as fix any type of recent postural dysfunction that's causing pain. They work on your body to find what muscles are being recruited in any and all types of movements and reawaken and engage proper muscles to help correct any imbalance that's causing an issue. They know a lot about the body and reawakening it. All the practitioners work together to help figure out your quickest path to recovery. And everyone is super nice there from a practitioners to the office managers. I had many issues with my feet and all types of things with my back from being in a wheelchair for a bit. They straightened up my back on one visit and kept it maintained that way with maintenance visits, also did wonders to correcting the strength and posture in my feet. Highly recommend.

Chris did a great job addressing my issues. He has a holistic approach to healing which includes some take-home work / treatment that you have to do on your own in-between sessions. He's kind and perceptive and takes an interest in your progress. The office is easy to get to and relaxing to be in. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to try Chinese medicine!

Dr. Sam is the best! My sports are dance, weightlifting, HIIT, running, and I discovered Sam through a fellow dancer friend when I mentioned I had overtrained my glute. Dr. Sam is a bodywork mercenary, using whatever means necessary (acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, massage, physical therapy exercises, stretching) to help you feel better. I always feel like a million bucks after her appointments. Can't recommend her enough!
