This place is so amazing. My dad is currently a patient here and he looks HEALTHY and HAPPY. Almost like he is in a resort. He made friends fast. He definitely didn't look happy and healthy at Memorial Hospital in Modesto or the VA hospital in Mathers. Both these hospitals didn't do anything for him. They just sent him home and did not fix his issues. Here at the VA hospital in Martinez , they care about their patients. This includes the nursing staff down to the housekeepers. They have a pool table, dining area for the patients and visitors. Plus we watched the football game while having lunch with my dad. Everyone here is amazing. Puts a big smile on my face and heart to see my dad happy.

I've been to Rose Barbershop twice and both times were great. Everyone was super friendly and gave great haircuts to everyone in the room. The first haircut I got was from Sean and the second was from Christian and they both did a great job. I got tons of compliments and was very happy with how it looked. This is the best barbershop that I've ever been to and it is easily five stars.

I come here occasionally and have always had great service. This time I got a Gel Pedicure ($53). Keep your receipt, if you get any chips within 2 weeks they'll fix it. Tami did my pedicure and it was great. Very gentle, great leg massage, and personable. I'd ask for her again. Color is Morning Glory.

I just started seeing Annie for brow waxing. Up until now I had been doing my own waxing and tweezing. But after recent hand surgery, I had to find someone to do my brows. After reading her great reviews I decided to give her service a try and I’m so happy I did. My hand is getting better but I’m definitely going to keep getting my brows cleaned up with Annie!

I've been going to Ruby's Nails consistently for manipicures and pedicures over the last everal months. They turn out beautiful and stay nice looking for a long time. I noticed a difference after my first manicure here, so I keep coming back! I always had a crack in one of my nails and Ruby knew what to do to resolve it. It's no longer an issue!
The entire team is friendly and all do exceptionally well with my nails. The tools are clean, there are lots of colors to choose from and I like the relaxing music and warm lotion they use after my mani/pedi.
Tip: in the winter time, they do free wax parafin treatment as part of any pedicure. It's such a treat! I highly recommend Ruby's.

I'm not too sure if I wrote a review already but with a son on the spectrum, who has haircuts that are either hit or miss (meaning he loves it or loathes it), this is our 3rd time here and he is treated with dignity, kindness and efficiency. The lady here is incredibly kind and truly enjoys her job, she is always available and always accommodating to his needs. He leaves her looking sharp and I will always come back here.

What a wonderful experience! I originally booked the PlasmaClear facial but once | consulted with Marisela, she quickly gave me an alternative option because she wanted to be extra cautious cause of my pregnancy. She didn't want the machine she uses to impact me in any harmful way. (How professional and thoughtful!) We decided to do a deep facial and it felt so great and relaxing. Very clean materials and space. She made me feel comfortable and was so kind. I'm glad I found her because l'm definitely going to book again!
Stacy is AMAZING! We tried everything for my son’s teenage acne! It was SO bad, large and small pimples, blackheads, and cystic acne! Nothing worked!! He was so upset and self conscious. We tried the doctors regimen. We tried Another spa/estheticians regimen. Nothing helped. We completely lost hope and were on the verge of starting Accutane!!!! Thank God we came to Stacy before resorting to that RX! My Son’s skin looked SOOOOOOO much better after her VERY FIRST treatment!! I was in SHOCK! We are so grateful for her expertise!! Bryce did my brows 3 years ago and they are still like new. I got the nano-realism service and it has simplified my life so much. No brow pencils needed, and I can follow her lines and pluck my own to keep the shape. As a busy mom I don’t make time for regular brow waxing and although the waxes are better (more precise shaping, getting rid of peach fuzz, thinning, etc) I went 10 MONTHS without a wax and didn’t realize it until I booked for a vacation. Bryce is an expert at her craft and I can’t recommend her or her services enough.
I’ve been getting my lashes down for at least 7 years, 4 different lash techs and Sophia is by far the best. I have thin lashes and with Sophia my volume sets, light or full, look phenomenal and last weeks. She’s incredibly patient, has gentle hands, and has a soothing and comfortable atmosphere.
Loved that I found this little gem! Julia was so patient, and kind and really made me feel comfortable! She spent time with me and helped me find the right piece I was looking for. She placed stencils in multiple places on my arm till I was happy with the placement. She had such a light hand, so my pain level was maybe at a 2 out of 10! I love my two tiny tattoos so much! They are fine line tattoos and they are so perfect! She did amazing, and I will be getting a lot more from her and I have already referred her to everyone I know and I will always recommend her Especially to first timers looking for their first tattoo!

I've gotten two pieces from Anna here, she's the owner and tattooer. I must say the quality of her work is superb! She specializes in American traditional style which is the best style in my opinion. She's highly responsive and very accommodating. The shop itself is pristine, and it has a nice little chill vibe. It's located in downtown Martinez, street parking is free on the weekends. I will be coming back again one day, so what else are you waiting for come check them out and get a tattoo!

I had two sewer companies came out and I was charged $250 from each company for using the camera to locate the breakage. I needed three estimates so Advance Trenchless was the third company I called. Nick came the next day with camera and did the estimate without charge. Wow, that was good. I finally hired Advanced Trenchless to replace the broken sewer. Nick explained the process clearly and it took only one day. I liked the 20 years warranty and the job would be inspected by contra costa county.
I am truly happy and thank you Nick and a four man crew from Advanced Trenchless. I highly recommend this advanced Trenchless company.

My experience with Boydstun Construction has been stellar. I’ve had three different projects completed by them over the past few years in two different houses. From Jon the boss man, the office staff Michele and Deb, to David the kitchen designer, and to all the construction crew, I can’t say enough good things about this company. They are professionals from start to finish. The fellows working on site are always courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Boydstun does beautiful work and I highly recommend doing business with them.
TLDR; If you're looking to electrify and/or increase your home's overall energy efficiency, hire BPP - you won't regret it. How it started: We bought our 1951 home in the summer of 2020. As the weather cooled, we realized we'd bought a cold and drafty house. You could turn the thermostat up as much as you wanted, but it didn't make a difference. When the furnace quit on us in early 2022, we decided to just ride it out wrapped in blankets while we conducted a thorough search for the best contractor to help electrify our home. We started with an energy audit from the excellent Energineers, who informed us that the walls of our home had "no insulation." We now had a clear plan of action from a company that had no stake in what we decided to do, including blowing in insulation, installing a heat-pump powered HVAC system, asbestos remediation, and electrifying our ancient, gas-powered water heater. BPP was on a list of contractors recommended by Energineers, and we are so glad we went with them. Energy efficiency is science, and we are not scientists:As new, first-time homeowners we came into this project with no understanding of the basics of HVAC and insulation, let alone more advanced topics like heat pump technology. The owner, Curtis, was beyond patient with our many questions, meticulously explaining our options. While we went with a state-of-the-art heat pump system, he never pushed us to spend more on a higher-end solution, and in fact encouraged us to consider more budget-friendly options as well. When you're electrifying your home by switching to a heat-pump powered HVAC system and/or water heater, it pays to have someone who understands electricity leading your project. Curtis was able to design a comprehensive upgrade to our electrical system that would support our new equipment. His background in electrical gave us confidence that his solution would work and was right-sized for the project. We received multiple opinions about the best way to heat our home, which had multiple challenges including being built into a hill, a partially underground lower level with concrete walls and a slab floor, and a pre-existing extension on the back of the house with questionable ductwork. Curtis recommended installing a single exterior condenser, a ducted mini-split to heat the upstairs (replacing the asbestos-wrapped ducts with new, modern, energy efficient ductwork), and two mini-split heads on our lower level. I was honestly skeptical that our entire downstairs area could be uniformly heated with two mini-split heads, but the system he designed, in addition to being priced very fairly, works like a charm. How it's going: A company can be great to work with, but when you have someone working on your home, what matters most of all, of course, is results. And BPP delivered results, far above our expectations. Energineers had promised us that if we followed their recommendations, our cold, drafty house could become warm and cozy. Deep down, we didn't really believe them. But it was true! The insulation work alone increased the temperature inside our house by nearly 10 degrees. We love having the 3 different heating zones enabled by Curtis' system, so we don't need to heat areas of the house we aren't using. And our entire house is now as warm as we want it to be. As a bonus, the heat pumps include A/C for the occasional heat wave. Rebates, Permits, PG&E, oh my:Projects like this can mean a lot of paperwork. Curtis and the office manager Kathy made the entire process painless. They took care of everything for us, helping us to get the maximum possible rebates, which cut the cost of our project by about 25%. In addition, they handled the permitting process with the City of El Cerrito, and also navigated the application and approval process with PG&E for the electrical panel upgrade. I have not used them for trimming services, but I saw on their ad in my local magazine that they deliver mulch.
I was blown away at how responsive and excited the person on the phone was to help me get a truckload of mulch. Within 2 days I had a driveway full of all redwood mulch from a nearby tree service they were working on.
I will certainly be using them for mulch drops and if the service is this good for trimming, that as well.
East Bay Stump Removal answered my message within 24 hours, came to my home, and presented a fair estimate. Though I wanted my Stump removed asap, Matt explained why waiting to have gas and water pipes marked was best for safety. He did a great job removing my Stump. I appreciated the clear communication with myself and my neighbors during the process. I would highly recommend this business.
We just used Traverso Tree for the first time, we had a fallen Acacia, and much overgrowth and some safety concerns with many of the trees on our property, we requested haul away services too, it was a two day job, but they were so quick and professional, they even swept and blew away the excess saw dust. They did a great job, and I would absolutely use them again and recommend their services. I wish I had more before and after photos but I'll post what I can. The trees that they thinned looked so natural, they were careful to not drop any trimmings onto the neighbors yards, even when they had to move our neighbors planter to get the crane in the driveway, they remembered to move everything back where it was. That level of consideration and care is so rarely found. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Muir Oaks has been the best vet we have gone to. This is saying a lot because we have moved often and gone to at least 7 different vets in the last 6 years. They are great fantastic for veterinary care and they are amazing for boarding. My dog was extremely aggressive to most people and dogs, but here she was able to connect with the staff and feel more comfortable. They also comforted us when we unfortunately had to put her down. They gave us the kindness we needed and treated us like we really lost a family member, which we did. If I still lived in the area, I would be a lifelong client.
Love the staff and the new facility is nice and spacious. The Family of Vet’s take very good care of our English Crème Retriever and set up wellness checks way in advance.

I have been dealing with neck and shoulder pain and tension and headaches for months now I am a nurse and a student in school and was having trouble sleeping and headaches. I went in on a random Thursday afternoon she was available and we did cupping I did that around 5 pm. I went home and it’s 10 pm and I noticed something…. Hey my right side of my neck and shoulder are not hurting anymore I don’t feel like I have to constantly massage or rub it or stretch it out. I seriously think the cupping really helped relieve the tension in my right shoulder and neck. When she did the cupping she took a picture of my back and showed me the darkest spot is my right shoulder and that’s exactly where I had the tension and pain. Thank you so much!
