This is a TRUE rarity with builders, most of whom seem to try to take advantage of people. Peter also knows how to build a home that is resistant to fires!!! I didn't even know this was possible. When I first met with him, we met at his office which is on his personal property. His personal home (that he built) is incredible, and you can see and feel the quality of the construction. The thing that most impressed me, is not the quality or beauty of his home, but the fact that his home is THE ONLY home that remained unharmed during the devastating Woolsey fire. “I recently completed a full kitchen renovation which involved a complete overhaul of my entire downstairs area, all flooring, and new design elements in my living room and I could not be happier with my results. My renovation also involved some not-so-fun and significant items such as replacing most of my sewer line and water pipes which were located under my slab.

As a full-service design & remodel company, JRP managed and oversaw every activity and was involved with every step in the process. From Danni Krueger (designer), Sammy Ryan (production coordinator), Eddie Chavez (superintendent), to the person who really kept me together throughout the project, Rusty Peterson (project manager). As the project manager Rusty was my main contact and throughout the entirety of the project his attention to the process and the quality of the work being performed was so reassuring. Most importantly however, as someone who has a LOT of questions and the need to fully understand things – he was endlessly patient and always gave me the time needed to discuss the project to assure I was comfortable and happy with the process and the outcome. Projects like these have their ups and downs, but he assured we worked through everything to my satisfaction.

“Alec is, first and foremost, a genuinely caring person. From the very beginning, he took the time to really listen to what we wanted, and he consistently went above and beyond by identifying issues and presenting thoughtful solutions before I even thought to ask.

This was my first home renovation experience, and there were so many things I simply did not know to consider. Alec actively guided me through decisions and suggested better ways of doing things based on experience, not upselling. His pricing was reasonable, and he even made a few improvements that were outside the original scope just because he cared about the final result being done right.

Because I live over an hour away from the house, I had to rely heavily on Alec to orchestrate everything and keep the project moving. I was only able to visit about once a week, but the progress Alec and his crew made each week was so consistent that I felt comfortable being more hands-off and focusing on my job.

Communication was another huge highlight. I have heard plenty of contractor horror stories, but Alec was the complete opposite. “I was looking to repair my leaking balcony floor, and my real estate agent recommended Ian to us. Ian came to inspect the balcony and told us we didn’t need to hire a contractor because we could handle the repair ourselves. He explained exactly how to do it and what materials to buy. He also reassured us that the leak wasn’t as serious as we had feared.

“Our central vacuum system, which had been running great, was having very low suction and I suspected a clog. In the past I was successful at clearing clogs by using a shop vac to vacuum from the different wall ports, but this time I could not get the clog to clear. I contacted Advanced Homes and scheduled an appt. with Tom. Service Tech Marc (friendly, wore a mask) showed up on time and successfully cleared the clog within the 1-hour time frame covered by the original estimate, made sure our hoses were clog-free, and tightened some fittings on the canister. The service call isn't cheap however their pricing is in line with other estimates I received, and more importantly, they did the job right and got it done quickly. This is a good company and has a lot of experience with central vacuum systems, they're my go-to if any issues arise.“
