“I contracted this company to install a new AC and heater unit in 2017. Eight years later, I have been cited by the city because the unit was never inspected and approved by the city so the permit expired. Air Tech never finished the job, explaining that the tenant didn't return her call to allow her to go back. I, as the landlord was never notified there was a problem. I could have easily granted them access into the property. I am giving the owner the chance to complete the process with the city but she is refusing to take full financial responsibility for paying the permit and required duct testing. The owner refuses to speak with me directly and I feel bad for putting the employee in the middle of this.

EDIT on 4/14/25: They became responsive and have finished the permit process and split the remaining costs (duct testing & permit fee) with me.“

“I don’t normally write reviews, but after what happened, I feel like I have to share my experience.

I called Angkor HVAC for an urgent air conditioning issue during one of the hottest days we've had — it was 110°, and I had a 2-week-old baby at home. I was told someone would come in the morning, but no one showed up until 7:40 PM. Then, to my shock, the truck pulled away just eight minutes later at 7:48 PM. No knock on the door, no explanation, no repair — they just left. I was left in a sweltering house overnight with a newborn baby, sweating and panicked, not knowing what was wrong or if help was even coming back.

The next day, the owner came with another technician and did fix the A/C. I was grateful the issue was finally resolved, and I even asked the gentleman for his name so I could leave a good review. He refused to give it to me, saying he was the owner — and that he already knew I was going to leave a bad review for the first crew. That response honestly hurt. I wasn’t trying to attack anyone — I just wanted to hold someone accountable for what happened and acknowledge the person who eventually did help.

What I went through that night was incredibly stressful — not just for me, but for my newborn baby. The lack of communication, the delay, and the total disregard from the first crew were beyond frustrating — they were dangerous. I appreciate that the owner followed up and made the repair, but the way the situation was handled from the start was deeply disappointing.
