“Dr. Pipkin went above and beyond to thoroughly examine our new-to-us rescue dog outside of the clinic (for the safety of other canine patients, after we reported our girl had coughed several times over the past couple of days). Dr. Pipkin was warm, funny, and explained the what's and why's of everything. I enjoyed observing her positive interaction with our dog which included using stealthy petting to perform part of her exam. I did not get the Vet Tech's name that joined later, but she was fantastic, too. Thank you, both!“

“I adopted a cattle dog mix from Compassion without Borders about a month ago. She was from a Mexican shelter and had only been in the Compassion without Borders Shelter for 2.5 months before I adopted her. Ellie is an amazing dog but was fearful of people, cars, riding in cars and walking in public places. Kirsten taught me how to understand Ellie and to cultivate a loving nurturing bond. She's so wonderful to work with and offers training techniques tailored for Ellie and me. After 3 sessions and working daily using Kirsten's training techniques, Ellie is comfortable riding not only my car but other people's cars. She is calmer in general and eager to engage with people in public places. I highly recommend Kirsten as one of the best dog behaviorists I have ever worked with.

“I live 35 minutes away up in Petaluma area and for a variety of reasons went to San Rafael Animal Hospital for the first time with my dog Rose. I was pleased with every part of our visit. Dr. Davis even started chipping some tartar off my dog's teeth as he was examining her just because. They even managed to X-ray Rose's leg without anesthesia (and without me there) I believe because she felt secure in their care. Normally she would get anxious if she doesn't see me. Fair prices, too. The neighborhood is sort of industrial and the office is no frills, but the care is exceptional. I'll be coming back all the way down here from now on.“

“Kelli is as knowledgeable, wonderful and friendly in person as she is on the phone! When I follow her advice, looking keenly at the dogs around us in any situation, it increases my awareness of what is going on with the dogs I am with and if I do as Kelli has shown me within a couple of hours or less, I know what they are up to and what could happen next! I now prevent uncomfortable situations with my young Shepard mix who wants to herd dogs even! Kelli is great in all situations and is helping me and my son have a better relationship with our dog. From the first session she is showing me how to have Princess Kitty make friends with other dogs! Kelli is a master dog communicator- from dog body language of all the dogs to subtle and quick changes in the eyes of dogs - and is a phenomenal trainer hands down the best I'm met. She understands what dogs at up to at all moments, and all the possibilities of what could happen next. Kelli may work with puppies but she easily works well with my 50 lb active shepherd as well as my son's friends terrier a 8 lb rescue from the streets of California. Kelly understands dog body language and dogs so well she can predict their next moves easily. Great trainer wonderful lady who truly speaks dog! I would highly recommend her in any situation with any dog, or even if you want to get to know your dog better and make more doggie friends! Sky's the limit with Kelli, expect Miracles!“

“We adopted a doberman mix and it was clear on day 2 that this was not going to be an easy dog. He was very willful, energetic and had some very unpredictable aggression issues - as in I could not walk him without him lunging and even, to my horror, nipping people on several occasions. My dog was also determined to rip my shoulder out of it's socket. Now we walk without incident and pulling. There have been other bumps along the way, but John always handles them in a very calm and compassionate manner. My dog, who is not overly affectionate, loves to see John: his tail always thumps upon John's arrival.“

“I am VERY protective of my little boy - 15mo old while lab, named Atlas. He’s high energy & needs lots of exercise, not a crate. After much review I settled on Bridewell Day Care & Boarding in Novato.

The staff @ Bridewell is professional, genuinely love our 4 legged friends & take great pride in keeping to their “guests”
(their words) dietary or special needs. The property has a large yard for Atlas to run & play.

Dr Adams has a lovely manner with our now nearly 14 yr old dog, giving us lots of sensible and gentle advice as we navigate her senior years. She’s doing great! Appointments are punctual and easy to schedule. Office staff and Vet technicians are excellent too.“

“GDB does a great job raising and taking care of dogs. As a care provider they take appts for their dogs and the vet team does a great job monitoring the dog's history. Just brought dog in to take care of allergy and itch related issue and picked up monthly heartguard medicine, weighed, nails clipped and got some antibacterial soap and mint toothpaste. We're ready for the weekend“

“I took Mary's Shy Dog Class with my new rescue dog, Gromit. In the 6 week time period, Gromit has come so far! He is more confident and playful. “Sid is GREAT! My dog Poppy has had daycare with Sid 2-3 days a week for 3 years and occasionally overnight boarding. It is wonderful to see how Poppy lights up when she sees Sid, and I always feel she is in great hands, safe and active with playmates in a small group setting. “Paul is an excellent and experienced trainer, kind person, and knows an incredible amount of about dogs. He taught us so much, both during our sessions and after with follow up content. He was great with our fearful and reactive dog, taking the time to build her confidence, and teaching me what to do, how and when to do it. She also stayed with him for a week or so while we were away and did very well. We plan to continue working with Paul and trust him completely!“

“I have used Karma both previously in Texas and now in the bay area. I have a leash reactive Labrador and was paired with Viviane. Viviane was so excellent and within three sessions my dog was more calm, more responsive, and happier in high stress situations. Viviane did a great job training me as well to better communicate with my dog. She was great, she met me first at my home in San Francisco, and then we met in the middle in San Mateo. Karma and Viviane provide after action reports and items to practice in between sessions.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“Amy was wonderful with my three month old blue heeler. My pup is very active and smart, and Amy gave us some key tools, tips and basic training techniques to use for my active and smart pup. She also helped with recommendations for harnesses, puppy food, socialization tips, recall tips, house training, etc. I would recommend her to any new puppy parents!“
