243 Alabama St, San Francisco“We first learned about Primepaw through the SFSPCA, who recommended them as a great spot, when we adopted Polly through the shelter.
After two delightful private sessions in our home with Joanne where she gave us a ton of useful tips and tricks to help with Polly's development and training, we decided to buy the six pack for Puppy Kindergarten. Well worth the investment. Polly was shy around other dogs when we started and has grown so much in her confidence through the masterful training and love of the team at Primepaw. I've appreciated that since she is a such a small dog, they've intentionally made sure she is playing with dogs of her size to keep her confident and safe.
She absolutely adores going there, and we appreciate all of the suggestions for additional games at home from Dominic during pick up and drop off. She is just thrilled each time we pull up to Primepaw because she knows she's going to have the best day ever. Thank you, Primepaw team, for helping Polly grow into a confident, joyful, well behaved pup.“

I'd add that one time we unfortunately needed our dog to stay there for several weeks after an emergency and they were so kind to us and to him through that whole period. Just really the nicest people.“

80 Elmira St, San Francisco“When we adopted our Chihuahua mix Mingus he had a real chip on his shoulder and was practically feral adn very aggressive to strangers and all dogs. He couldnt walk properly on the leash, be he was too busy barking and lunging at all dogs, looking for a fight around every corner. Me and my husband could not agree on training tactics and we feared we would never be able to have visitors over again after he bit my mother in law.
After doing Dan's 5 week training program, Mingus is a new dog. He's calmer, and more secure in himself. He can walk on a leash, barks less at other dogs, and actually has boundaries that he can follow. Me and my husband all know the same training commands which helped our arguments about Mingus to subside.
After we had our first child, Dan was kind enough to come to our house for a free at home training session to help strategize on how to get Mingus acclimated as we feared his aggression would flare up again with our new baby. Luckily this has never happened bc Mingus is truly a completely different/better dog bc of Dan's services.“
“I own a young field Golden Retriever with boundless energy that needs to be channeled into productive, fun activities. I discovered Golden Gate Dog Sports online and was immediately impressed by their offerings.
We started with the Sports Sampler to see which disciplines—tricks, agility, or nose work—would most excite her, and it turns out she loved all of them!
Our trainer, Erika, made every sport feel exciting and accessible, ensuring all the dogs had a fantastic time.
We’ve since moved on to Pre-Agility with Erin, who is equally wonderful and passionate. The facility is impressively clean and organized, and the curriculum is designed so that every dog feels encouraged and successful. It’s clear the team takes their work seriously while keeping the atmosphere joyful. Five stars—we both absolutely love it here!“

Every time we turned the block Chai would run to the door to paw to be let in. These folks are all dog people and will take the time and care and attention you need for your pup. I highly recommend!!“

Jeff is confident, friendly, and professional, and he genuinely meets you where you are. We’ve learned so much and feel set up for the long haul. Highly recommend him to anyone with a new puppy or a dog they want to take to the next level. We’re extremely grateful for everything he’s done for us and Diego.
We look forward to continuing to work with him as we go into puppy adolescence. 10/10 would recommend.“

From the moment we arrived, Reynaldo’s hospitality and service stood out. He treated my dog with such care—gentle, kind, and patient every step of the way. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in truly trusted hands. I can’t recommend Reynaldo enough!“

We have loved partnering together, with her easy, professional communication, reliability, fun and safe walks with a lot of exercise and socialization....and her commitment to setting our pup up to thrive! Our dog is always so excited to go out with Ceslie, coming home from walks and/or boarding tired and happy, with her tail wagging!“

Our dog has had a couple of medical things come up, and we had to cancel some trips. Lucky Paws was super compassionate and understanding and willing to work with us to see if we could make things work. 100% recommend their business! They care about you as a client.“

3955 17th St #19, San Francisco“Infinity stars! Shelah has been an absolute life-saver for my dog Eleanor, who underwent double TPLO surgery on both hind legs due to tearing her CCL (canine cruciate ligament) in each knee. Although her right knee healed up well with just the basic after-care from our surgeon, Ellie's left knee had much worse damage prior to surgery and was much slower to heal as a result. For reference, she was fully weight-bearing and walking normally on the right leg prior to surgery, but was 100% non-weight bearing on her left going into surgery. So although the left leg surgery was successful and she was weight bearing a few days afterwards, she was still favoring the leg and showing lots of lameness from activity, even many months after her bone healed from the TPLO. My regular vet and even Sam's clinic were less than helpful as far as providing a rehab program to follow. They also still will not see clients in person due to covid, meaning they could only talk to me on the phone and send me videos of the exercises I was supposed to be doing with my dog. So although I was following their program and advice to a T, Ellie kept having setback after setback and didn't seem to be improving. Even with very light activity, she would still hold her leg up sometimes and not want to put weight on it. I felt lost and that my pup might never be able to run or hike off-leash ever again. Enter Shelah - she comes by in person and is an absolute wizard at reading Ellie's (and my) body language. She designed a custom exercise/physical therapy program for us and also was able to train ME on how to train Elle to do the exercises properly. I actually work with dogs for a living (I'm a dog walker) and am well versed in training methods, but training a dog to execute specific physical therapy exercises is a totally different ballgame. Shelah is able to watch me work with Ellie, and give me simple pointers/instructions in order to get optimal results with each training session. We had to start from square one with really basic exercises, as the ones given to me by Sam's clinic were (to my surprise!) far too advanced. But, with consistent work we've been able to get Ellie's leg much stronger, to where she can finally hike and run off leash without lameness afterwards. It makes me tear up to have made this breakthrough and for Ellie to finally have her quality of life back, after almost two years going through surgeries and rehab. I cannot say enough positive things about Shelah. She is clearly an expert and has a wealth of knowledge, but is also just a phenomenal human being and clearly cares deeply about each dog (and human) she works with. She is always available to help with any questions that pop up, or snags that we run into along the way. I shudder to think where Ellie and I would be without Shelah. I can't recommend her highly enough!“

San Francisco“I highly recommend Doggie Business! Janet, the owner, is great with our three year old Yorkie, Buddy. It is more than a dog walking service-Janet trains and socializes your dog. She takes her job seriously and you can tell she genuinely cares for the dogs and their well-being. She picks up the dogs in a lovely van, with separate crates for each dog. I know Buddy is in great hands with Janet.“
