“This is a great business. They are always friendly, helpful, and professional whether you need an appointment, prescription refill, or just have a question, they are there to help. Our veterinarian was Dr Navia. She is a superb clinician, has great surgical skills and is very gentle with animals. She treated our dog for a bad heart valve and heart failure over a couple of years. When his disease progressed and we decided on euthanasia to prevent suffering she was very skillful at the procedure and provided us emotional support as well. Everyone at the facility is service oriented. You will never feel like you are bothering them and never feel like they are in it for the money. A simply great group of people. As a retired family doctor I give them my best recommendation,“

“This was my first time at Covina Animal Hospital, and I made sure I researched the place before going there. Upon arrival, everyone was very welcoming, and what I loved the most was how they treated my baby who is a pittie with so much love. “We should have left a review when we first saw Dr. Lynn a couple of years ago. We had taken our cat to his primary vet for a regular checkup when they looked into his mouth and told us that it looked like he had cracked his tooth / line of blood at gum line... but sent us home to wait for their cleaning appt / x-rays that was about 2 months away? No. I searched online until I specifically found a dentist, I found Dr. Lynn. Marlene scheduled us almost immediately. Our first meeting with Dr. Lynn, we instantly knew she was someone you could trust. She let us know immediately that our cat was not having a crisis, most likely food dye (eye roll to primary vet... never again for specialty work). Fast forward to today, we just had our second cleaning with Dr. Lynn. Our cat is a pure breed, he is very smart and very sensitive so it can be a very difficult time for all of us. But with Marlene's attention to detail and pre/post appointment reviews and check-in's, and Dr. Lynn's exceptional work (we appreciate the pre/post tooth images, thorough analysis and resulting, noticeable clean, white teeth) we just feel so good knowing our baby is in the best hands, and that we have someone we can trust long-term. “I took my rescue cat, Cookie, for her first visit with Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital on October 12, 2024. We are fairly new to the area and it has taken me some time to sort through family referrals and choose a new vet for my fluff. I was impressed by the front staff - including the resident cats! - who were kind and efficient. Dr. Z listened to my concerns and put Cookie through a preliminary exam. A staff member thoroughly explained the detailed estimate of charges. I had an opportunity to ask questions and to decline services if I wished to do so. After our appointment, my cat was calm and quiet, not stressed or fearful. This tells me that the care she received out of my view must have been gentle and professional. I look forward to a long and satisfying relationship with Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital.“

“The staff is wonderful, and Drs. Gorsky and Amini have been wonderful. Dr. Lam seems to have done a good job on my puppy's neutering this past Monday, but there was a serious breakdown in communication when my puppy began to show some distress after 48 hours. It took a while to get it addressed which was pretty disturbing, but Erica Wise, the administrator (I think) contacted me and assured me that the issues involved are being addressed and that the welfare of my animal is getting the attention that is appropriate. I will be continuing my puppy's care with Modern Animal.“

“I brought my Frenchie here for his exam and last set of vaccines. He was treated with so much love. Elena and Paola in the front desk are wonderful! Elena was thorough on what my pup needed and passed along all my questions to the vet before speaking with him. I will be bringing him here for his care.“

“Have been bringing my dog here for about 6-7 years now. Sure their procedure to be seen can be a little silly but I think they are the best vet around and the prices are great. My insurance never has a problem covering any of their fees.“

“The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.“
