This clinic has been taking care of my pets for many years. My pets have always liked everyone here, but my present doggie, Maddy, absolutely loves them all. She basically drags me in and can't stop wagging her tail (and butt)! She recently had bladder stones (a lot!) and was very uncomfortable, as you can imagine. She had to have surgery to have them removed. After a period of adjustment, she's finally acting like her old self. Such a relief to have someone who's caring enough to deliver the kind of care a little animal needs. I'm really grateful. :D

I wanted to try a new veterinarian since my last one had alot of problems. I did my research before my first appointment and noticed that this vet was noticeably more expensive, but its in Downey, do people expect it to be cheap? I don't mind paying more if I know that my dogs Kodak and Xochitl will be taken care of. They're big dogs, and Kodak has allergies that cause bad itchy skin and constant ear infections. I have taken both of my dogs here several times and they let you in the exam room! My previous vet did not allow that despite charging nearly the same amount for a copay.
Both doctors I've met are great, and I always look forward to taking my dogs here.

Finding a veterinarian you can completely trust with your pet isn’t easy, but I’m so thankful we found Downey Veterinary Hospital. From our very first visit, everyone has made both me and my husky, Milo, feel welcomed. The front desk staff always greet Milo by name, and I love that they remember him. It’s such a thoughtful touch that shows they genuinely care about the animals they see.
Dr. Raymond has been incredible throughout Milo’s care. Milo had a bad experience at his previous veterinary clinic, so he still gets nervous and stressed during vet visits. I really appreciate that I’m able to stay with him during his appointments because it helps him feel… read full review
