14208 Mulberry Dr, Whittier“We’ve been training at this gym for about 9 months now, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family. I originally brought my kids in because they were shy and timid. From day one, the coaches and members were kind, respectful, and genuinely helpful. I'm in my 40's and decided to give it a shot.
Fast forward to now — my kids and I are more confident, social, and even competing. The growth hasn’t just been on the mats. We've taken the discipline, confidence, and work ethic that we learned into other areas of our lives. We're doing better at home, in school, at work, and in social settings.
The coaches are chill and laid back, but don’t let that fool you — they know how to push us to work hard and reach our goals. They created a culture that’s competitive yet supportive. It’s a safe, friendly environment, and that starts from the top with the leadership.
Grateful to be part of this team. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to build confidence, discipline, and resilience.“

12521 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk“Like many of us, I’ve had my own personal struggles and issues. 8 years ago, I met sensei Marcos Rubio. I walked into the dojo one day and tried out a lesson with him. One lesson was all it took for me to know this was something I wanted to be a part of and I made the decision to sign up.
It was my first lesson, and my first time ever learning a martial arts class. Something I’ve always wanted to do since I saw “Big Trouble in Little China” when I was 4 years old. My favorite movie of all time!
Sensei Marcos is unlike anyone I had ever met, and he’s taught me so much over the years, and I am proud to say that he’s my Master, but I love this man like he’s my dad.
It’s amazing to know you have a great dad in your life, let alone 2. I’ve earned my black belt under him and today, not only am I student of his, but I’m an instructor as well, and now I’m a second degree black belt. He’s helped me with so much that it’ll never be enough to say “thank you”.
He helped me become a better person. He made me a better version of myself. I am forever grateful to Master Rubio for that. Not only him, but all the instructors here as well. Not only because they’re great instructors, but they’re great people.
Come on by and try it out for yourself. Z Ultimate is an amazing place to be. You’ll be amazed how much your life can change by just making the decision to take that first step to try…“

129 N Saratoga St, Los Angeles“This place is hands down the best place for BJJ practitioner to get better at throws and takedowns in Los Angeles. Don’t bother with other place for Judo b/c the majority of them don’t teach adults or their class slots are limited. Now it is true that they don’t really teach much unless you attend the fundamental class. But at one point in your BJJ/ Judo journey. You have to take responsibility in being objective in what you are weak in. BJJ is traditionally weak at stand up and the Sensei at Tenri through training will help you out in that area. Plus, even though they don’t teach during the regular class for adults. When you get your USA Judo membership, you automatically gain access to the American Judo System video library that Jimmy Pedro and Travis Steven’s created. The American Judo System video plus studying John Danaher Feet to Floor Series has accelerated my Judo training. I know that most BJJ practitioner fear being thrown which I get and Tenri has a reputation of not being beginner friendly but you can make your sessions at Tenri as hard as you want it to be. I promise you’ll be a better BJJ athlete coming training three days a week versus training one week before a tournament working standup at a BJJ school. Even if you don’t like stand up and you’re primarily a guard player. You’ll know the ins and out of stand up and pull to guard on you terms with you being the dictator of where the fight goes. As long you put in the mat time, you will reap the rewards of becoming a complete grappler.“
9:30AM - 12:30PM
9848 Jersey Ave, Santa Fe Springs“New breed is a great place to train, they were welcoming from day one it felt like family. The professors are there for you on and off the mats. There's a community among the staff and students. I now have been training for a little over a year now. I am grateful for the influence BJJ has put into my life at work, personal and even among peers. BJJ is a journey, it grows on you, it makes those long days feel easier. To me, my biggest gain is that I am less stressed with life, because I now have an outlet, that I enjoy very much. I navigate problems with more ease and critical thinking. Stop by and take that jump on those mats and have your own experience/journey. Osss!“

4501 E Carson St #205, Long Beach“First and foremost, I own my life, too, Sifu Simo. To them, I learned how to control the killing spirit and harness more of the Shaolin Way. Sifu Simo, along with all the instructors, especially those who volunteer their time for the youth, genuinely care about adhering to the tradition. It’s a humbling experience that helps you understand what true humanity is. If you allow it, Wing Chun teaches you not just a martial art form, but a new way of life that transforms you into the best version of yourself. With knowledge, wisdom, and power to protect the young, the elderly, the weak, and the community, My daughters and I ( especially Me ) honored to be a student of the arts and a student of Sifu Bryant Talbert.“

14615 Gridley Rd, Norwalk“Our family has been part of the Norwalk Judo community for many years, and I can confidently say this is an exceptional dojo. My child has been practicing judo for 8 years, and Norwalk Judo continues to provide the perfect balance of traditional values, discipline, and community spirit.
One of the things that sets Norwalk Judo apart is its dedicated team of volunteer senseis and they generously give their time and expertise to help the next generation of judoka. Their passion for the sport and their commitment to teaching is clear in every class.
Beyond technical instruction, Norwalk Judo emphasizes respect, perseverance, and teamwork. The students support one another, and there’s a strong sense of belonging. The dojo is also deeply engaged in the community center— from pancake breakfasts, bingo nights, annual summer festivals to participating in service events, they encourage students to give back and represent judo’s values off the mat as well.
We are grateful to be part of this incredible program. I highly recommend Norwalk Judo to any family looking for high-quality instruction in a positive, supportive environment.“

“I own a business in the same shopping center as this place. Tonight, one of my staff ran inside their studio because a couple of guys were catcalling and being sketchy while she was trying to lock up. Two of their staff dropped what they were doing and escorted her over to lock up and get to her car safely. It's one thing to train martial arts, and it's another to be willing to actually use it to defend someone. 5 stars in my book. Thanks guys!“
