“I have worked with contractors on home construction and repair for over 40 years, and LA Structural is the best company I ever worked with. This was a huge job, waterproofing three walls of the house. It took two months. LA Structural got the job done in a reasonable time and did beautiful work. The construction crew was extremely careful and cleaned up well every day and at the end of the job. Every single person was honest, caring, and easy to work with. Dale Terndrup and Branden Seabert explained what was needed. Dale has been in the business for decades, and Branden is a structural engineer. I felt that I was dealing with true professionals. Branden negotiated the contract with me. He was flexible and reasonable, and it seemed to me that the contract was fair. Juan Casillas and Dale's son Matt Terndrup helped me to understand the wait with the City to get the permitting done. I didn't like the wait, but they gave me the impression that they were doing everything possible to speed up the process. Manny Guzman was the project supervisor. A former firefighter, he seems to be used to dealing with a lot of moving parts very well. He was a dream - very responsive and easy to work with. Marvin Sanchez, Alvaro Perez (father and son), and Oscar Cop formed the core of a construction team that ranged from three to five men. (The remainder were Juan (different last name), and Celso.) They are true craftsmen. The work was backbreaking, noisy, and labor-intensive. They kept up a steady, diligent pace and took pride in finishing in a timely manner. They were quite friendly, kind, and easy to talk with. They spent the minimum time possible on the invasive part inside the house and were careful to try not to track dirt in and to clean up afterward. Manny helped by giving me notice, so that I could plan to be away when the noise got to be too much, or in a different part of the house from the workmen. I learned a lot from the work ethic of Manny and his crew, their good humor, and their sense of honor in the job. I have enormous admiration for this company. “Vince came out on an afternoon. Diagnosed My major Plumbing problem from a previous plumber. And fixed a problem that I've had for over 2 years. Vince and his guys Are probably the nicest, Most Knowledgeable professional plumbers in the business great job. Thank you again.?“

“My daughter had a leak in her laundry room so we got a few estimates. A-List was not the cheapest but I'm positive was the best. The work was performed in a timely manner, communication was terrific and at the end of each day was left in a clean manner. “We hired Bartona Builders for our kitchen remodel and wow! What a difference. They tore out ALL the old cabinets and put in new ones that look amazing. The countertops are granite and they shine so nice. Matt came by every day to check on things which was really good because some other contractors we talked to said they might not always be there.

The whole job took about four weeks but it was worth the wait. Our friends can't believe it's the same kitchen!! They also fixed some electrical stuff that was old and dangerous.

When we were ready to renovate our garage (converting it from unfinished space to a home office and workshop), we spent a while shopping around for quotes. Roy stood out from the start, offering a detailed proposal and a competitive (in fact, somewhat lower) price. He spent quite some time talking with us when he visited our home, thinking through our wishes to be sure he understood them, presenting different options for accomplishing our goals, and coming up with thoughtful and creative solutions.

Throughout the project, his team did high-quality work. The finished garage is lovely, and exactly as we hoped for. His subcontractors were skilled and he is an extremely detail-oriented, involved manager. When little things came up--a door was delayed at the factory, for example--Roy figured out how to work around them, even when it meant considerable extra effort. When we asked him to add to the scope of work, he did so at very low cost. It was always clear that his primary goal was to make sure that we were totally happy with the final product.

What stood out most about Roy was his exceptional communication. He was incredibly responsive (within hours, even on the weekends, every single time), clear, warm, and helpful. He kept us apprised of the progress and met with me--at times convenient for my schedule--at least weekly, to check in and discuss and questions we had. He was even willing to handle dealing with a difficult supplier; I had placed the order for a window, and when the wrong one was delivered, he didn't blink an eye before offering to just handle it for me. In my experience, communication skills like this are rare and valuable.“
