2915 Telegraph Ave #200, Berkeley“We drive from Monterey to Alameda to have our son tested for Autism and felt very blessed to have been referred here. We had to wait a little longer than usual for our appointment as there was an emergency that called our doctor away. Regardless, once we were seen, the experience couldn’t have been any better. They asked if we had questions multiple times and followed up anytime we weren’t clear. While it may be a long drive, it was totally worth it. We look forward to our second appointment and feel empowered and educated moving forward. Thank you so much for having such wonderful staff and empathy.“

She was also fast to respond each time I contacted her. I highly recommend Tap Score for drink water testing and will definitely refer them to friends and family.“
“We've been at EBP since we moved to the east bay from the city 13 years ago and have had a great experience there. Started with Dr. Charles-Mo and loved her. Since she retired, we've been with Dr. Handelsman, who has been awesome. All the doctors we've seen have been nice, attentive, and responsive to medical needs, even to more urgent ones.“

I appreciate how she takes the time to really investigate and understand what is going on with you and determine the best treatment. I've been seeing her to treat persistent frozen shoulder and have gotten significant improvement.“

1332 Park St #202, Alameda“Always a great experience here!! Dr. Leus is absolutely amazing! She explains without being pushy and opinionated. She listens and understands I'm just a new mom trying to figure it out. We were referred to her and I am so thankful she is my son's doctor. He's sleeping on his own now at 4.5 months and I have her to thank.“
“Today was my first visit with Dr. Morando at Pleasant Hill location. Before I was a patient of Dr. Stephen Weinstein, who recently retired. Therefore I was referred to that office to continue my care. I was hard to get an appointment due to volume of patience, and I was considering finding new OBGYN. I am very glad that I was patient and waited to see Dr. Morando. She is very personable, caring, professional and have an excellent bed side manners. I felt comfortable with her right away, which is not easy considering type of care she is providing! Office was clean and tidy. Wait time was no more than 10 minutes. Her medical staff was also friendly and caring!“

“UCSF Benioff Hospital partnered with Oakland Children's Hospital to save this hospital from foundering. Thank you Salesforce.com's Marc Benioff! This children's hospital is an important, essential part of the community not just for the East Bay but also the entire Bay area: The pediatric neurology department is second-to-none. My son was seen here following two serious concussions after being beaten up at school. He's still not out of the woods. He was seen by Nicole Ionescu, MD for neuro-psych testing to see how his brain was affected. Staff is top notch, even reception as you walk past on the way to the elevators, they're welcoming and helpful. Parking garage is only $3 (credit cards only). Highest level care! They lose a star because the building doesn't seem adequately reinforced for earthquakes- but I'm far from an expert.“

“I met Dr. A when I was 13 months pregnant with my second child and unable to walk or even sit due to what I later discovered was a ruptured disc in my lumbar region. While my HMO initially advised me to wait out the pain, offered opiate painkillers I was not comfortable taking, and recommended exercises I could not perform, Dr. A traveled to my home for my initial session and actually looked at my back and body. Her first adjustment enabled me to walk taller and longer than I had since my initial injury. When I had a setback and my progress stalled, Dr. A correctly identified that I had a ruptured disc and helped arm me with information needed to advocate for more invasive medical intervention that was also pregnancy safe. In addition to adjustments, she took time to connect me with a stabilizing belt, exercises, and ways of moving that helped me function enough to do things like watch my 4-year-old, take showers, prepare quick meals, and slowly but surely build strength and endurance. Through it all, Dr. A demonstrated again and again her incredible gift for trauma-informed body work. At a time when I didn't trust anyone to touch my body--myself included--I knew I was in good hands with Dr. A. She is gentle and confident, sincere and compassionate, and she possesses an innate ability to listen well and connect deeply. From our first meeting, I felt safe with Dr. A. This safety and trust helped me not only move again but also rebuild my own trust in my body and in myself. I returned to Dr. A after giving birth as I dealt with recovery for both c-section surgery and my ruptured disc. She laid the groundwork for physical and mental recovery, giving me the confidence to move forward--body and mind--in a healthier way for myself and my kids. Today, I am back to work, able to hike, hold my kids, and once again feel strong in my body. Thank you, Dr. A for helping me return to my life and body in a deeper, richer way.“
