I love everything about this clinic and the care they provide! Dr Mehta is very competent and kind, she really listens and engages in a way that is rare in healthcare. But the person who really stands out to me is Heaven, ones of the care assistants. She has the most compassionate way of engaging with my newborn, it actually makes me tear up thinking about how respectful she is to my tiny potato. It inspires me in my own parenting to treat my daughter as more than just a helpless infant but a tiny human in her own right. Sometimes when she’s just or screaming I try to channel how Heaven might respond. Very happy all around with the care here!

We drive from Monterey to Alameda to have our son tested for Autism and felt very blessed to have been referred here. We had to wait a little longer than usual for our appointment as there was an emergency that called our doctor away. Regardless, once we were seen, the experience couldn’t have been any better. They asked if we had questions multiple times and followed up anytime we weren’t clear. While it may be a long drive, it was totally worth it. We look forward to our second appointment and feel empowered and educated moving forward. Thank you so much for having such wonderful staff and empathy.

I honestly cannot understand the bad reviews of this office. We are first time parents and both the office staff and the doctors have been incredible. Dr. Gerwein is our son's primary but we were also seen by Dr. Brinkley when she was rounding at the hospital. Both doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to even the slightest concern. We have never had any trouble getting an appt., even a couple last minute ones, and, to top it all off, their office has an INCREDIBLE lactation consultant, Amrit Khalsa (48 years of experience, including as a midwife) and they moved heaven and earth to make sure we were seen by her when we were struggling with breastfeeding. And she is covered by our insurance with only a $37 copay! Kudos to this practice for providing access to 360 degree, holistic care (they are only 1 of 3 practices in all of the East Bay that employ a lactation consultant). We feel so lucky we found this team!
