I got a 1-hour foot massage on a Sunday.
I appreciated that:

a. The room was dimly lit and had a Himalayan salt lamp as the main illumination so there was no bright, harsh, blue LED lighting like other places have.

b. Music was present, but calming tones and soft enough to not be overbearing the auditory senses.

c. My male massage therapist was great about increasing pressure for the massage when I requested more pressure.

d. I did not feel rushed here or pressured in any way. I felt the male massage therapists were all very professional and solely work-oriented.

e.. Normally no need to chat w your massage therapist, but it was a pleasant surprise to learn from my provider that he was also Korean like myself and grown up in another country (his - China). He was kind enough to share about his home-town which has fascinating history being in a particularly notable place in the world. He works in the States and provides for his family back home while not having seen them in years.

Making his acquaintance was a humbling experience and one that created a humanizing, memorable experience at this massage spa. A great reminder to any Americans to be grateful that you get to see your spouse and children everyday or even if it's multiple times a month.
