On July 3rd, during the Independence Day holiday weekend, we had a major sewer backup at one of my 7-unit apartment buildings. What initially seemed like a routine sewer issue turned into an incredibly complicated situation when it was discovered that a utility company had unknowingly severed our sewer line years earlier.

This was an extremely stressful situation, but the entire team at Windy City Rooter handled it flawlessly. Despite it being a holiday weekend, they immediately mobilized crews, trucks, and specialized equipment without hesitation. They stayed with the problem, kept me informed every step of the way, and never treated it like “just another service call.”

What impressed me even more was that they went above and beyond the plumbing work itself. They helped investigate the cause of the failure and assisted in identifying the utility responsible for cutting the sewer line—something they certainly didn’t have to do, but it made a tremendous difference.
