Most importantly, Annie is always happy to see Brittney! This speaks volumes to me. We have never been disappointed. Thank you, Brittney! From Annie, Juli, and Kevin.“

6802 S Sheridan Ave, Tacoma“Playground: Right in the middle of the picnic areas, makes for easy observation of little ones while enjoying the view of the lake and sitting at your picnic area.
Toilets: They try to keep up from vandalism and homeless residing in there. Is anywhere safe from the stench and messes of tweakers? There are 2 bathroom buildings along the lake walking path, on the east side in the main building, and on the south side facing S. 72nd St.
Dog-friendliness: 3 fenced off leash areas. Not everyone picks up after their pooch, which is unacceptable being there are bags and trash cans posted throughout all 3. Decent place to do socializing and training with distractions.
Picnic area: One covered kitchen shelter, sometimes have to deal with homeless people residing there, but I feel that's pretty much anywhere now days. There's several tables and benches scattered about the park, even in the off leash area. Concentration of picnic tables around the playground, convenient for watching kids while watching your picnic area at the same time.“

The pricing was very reasonable. We went back and boarded all 3 of our dogs for a long weekend and it was amazing to not have to worry about the pups while we were gone. All three came back happy ?.“

2519 S Holgate St, Tacoma“Mochi, our corgi, started going to Paws Play over 3 years ago. Jessica and her staff have always been very loving and attentive. When they were at the previous larger location, they were careful limiting the number of pups they have each day compared to other doggy daycares who don’t have a maximum. This really showed me that they truly care about our little precious one’s health as well as wanting to give each one the attention they deserve. When Jessica moved location to her house, we continued to take Mochi to her even though it was a bit out of the way to dirve prior to work because we trust them to look after Mochi as if he was their own pup. Mochi always loves going to them almost every day each week. Jessica is very communicative if there are any concerns and then sends out newsletters for updates. I also have enjoyed adventure days periodically when they have taken the pups to other places like parks and beaches.“

6036 S Warner St, Tacoma“I've been dropping my young pup off for play sessions on the weekends. Stephanie is AWESOME: after drop-off I can watch the session on the studio webcam to see how it's going. She narrates everything she's doing, describes the dogs' behavior down to the tiniest detail, and handles each animal with care, sensitivity, and gentleness. I learn a ton just by watching and can hardly wait to enroll my pooch in the next level of classes. Four paws up, highly recommend!“

3602 112th St E, Tacoma“We’ve booked our 80lb dogs here twice for week long stays while visiting family. It’s an excellent place for your dogs big or small. The owners are knowledgeable and not put off by medication regiments. It’s comforting to leave your pets with someone who has built a life around their passion for dogs.“

2100 112th St S, Tacoma“If you’re searching for reactive dog training, leash reactivity help, or a trainer who truly understands fear-based behaviors, Rocky Junior’s Dog Training is outstanding.
Our dog Sophie struggled with reactivity on walks—barking, lunging, and getting overwhelmed by other dogs and stimuli. Walks had become stressful and unpredictable, and we were worried this was just “how it would be.” Working with Jeff Salter completely changed that trajectory.
Jeff took the time to understand why Sophie was reacting, not just the behavior itself. His approach was calm, structured, and grounded in real-world situations—not just theory. He taught us how to identify triggers early, manage distance and timing, and respond in ways that helped Sophie feel safer and more confident instead of escalating.
What really stood out was Jeff’s ability to coach both the dog and the owner. The guidance was clear, practical, and realistic for everyday walks. There was no judgment, no pressure, and no one-size-fits-all method—just thoughtful, effective training tailored to Sophie.
We saw meaningful progress: calmer walks, faster recovery when triggers appeared, and a huge boost in our own confidence. Sophie is happier, and walks are no longer something we dread.
If you’re in Tacoma or the surrounding area and dealing with leash reactivity, anxiety, or behavior challenges, I highly recommend Rocky Junior’s Dog Training and Jeff Salter. This work made a real difference for our dog and our quality of life.“

4515 Vickery Ave E, Tacoma“Both my husband and I have trained through Canyon Crest and STRONGLY believe in the training methods! We have worked with boxers through the program and have had incredible success. This is a program that trains the owner and teaches us how to communicate with our dog without the need for clickers, treats, or punishment. We recently adopted a dog through the humane society that was found as a stray, demonstrated resource guarding behavior and significant aggression potential. Through training, we learned she is actually incredibly gentle and intelligent! The issue is that she was never socialized, so anytime she heard a strange noise, saw an unfamiliar person or became overstimulated, she went into flight or fight mode. By learning to communicate with her and being her alpha person, she has blossomed! Thank you, Canyon Crest. We have recommended your services since 2019 and will continue to do so.“

5617 S Tacoma Way, Tacoma“I came to Hanna with my boy who is a Cane Corso mix after he had been attacked by another dog. He became extremely fearful of any dog we saw while outside. The dog could have been a football field away and my dog would lose his mind. Jumping around, barking, lunging etc. and my words would fall on deaf ears and I couldn’t get his attention back onto me. I was to the point of giving up. But I found Hanna and that all changed. My boy went from being a crazy lunatic at the end of the leash at the sight of a dog or even a jingle of a collar to a well behaved and calm dog again. He’s now able to work around other dogs, ignore other dogs, and focus on me. He’s able to go back to working as my service dog and helping me navigate the world. Because of Hanna I have my boy back. Because of Hanna I have a dog I can once again take out into public and him be confident, calm, and focused. Thank you Hanna so so much!!! Words can’t begin to describe how thankful I am to have found you and to have you in my and my boys life. ❤️❤️ I wholeheartedly recommend Elite K9 for the job of taking care of my dog and getting them to where they need to be!!!!“

3717 S Meridian, Puyallup“I have a black lab so the need the get him “groomed” isn’t a thing. I bathe him at home and have his vet for the nails and vax but I’m certain that’s about to change.
Kayla C and Victoria C were so sweet! Knowing this was our first visit, the process was explained so I knew what to expect. They are well trained for nippy/feisty babies and take precaution not to stress the pups too much. They took very good care of Sailor and although he wasn’t too pleased for the nail trimming, I know he enjoyed his time at Petco located in Puyallup.
I appreciate you ladies so much and Sailor and I will be back soon!! Love the little bandana too, such a cute touch!“
