We should have of posted this years ago. Abigail (Doberman) was 9 months old when we realized that we were not on the same page and we needed help with communication. We did our research and settled on Canyon Crest K9. Best money we ever spent and I believe that is because taking the steps to go through professional training we had the most joyous, carefree and safest years with our pup! I have been breeding German shepherds for 54 years. I met Ron Pace in 1972. I was very impressed with his knowledge and gentle training methods. I enrolled in his personal protection/ obedience training class and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Through the years several of my puppy owners have taken his classes and called to thank me several times for the referral. On a personal note, I know I can always count on Ron for sound advice if I have a question. I can say Ron Pace is the best trainer I have ever met. A wonderful, kind and gentle man. He is my friend!!
Both my husband and I have trained through Canyon Crest and STRONGLY believe in the training methods! We have worked with boxers through the program and have had incredible success. This is a program that trains the owner and teaches us how to communicate with our dog without the need for clickers, treats, or punishment. We recently adopted a dog through the humane society that was found as a stray, demonstrated resource guarding behavior and significant aggression potential.
