“So very thankful I found Jody @ Blue Tulip Tailoring! I ordered a custom figure skating dress that arrived way too big and needed a lot of work. The sleeves were too long and too bulky, the waistline was unflattering and too big, the neckline was awful and the skirt was way too long.

She was able to see my vision, re-work the dress and make it exactly what I wanted! I don’t know how she did it, but she’s a miracle worker. 10/10 highly recommend!!

I had a plan to try a few other places if she tuned me down. She said she wasn’t too busy and could finish the job in an hour. I left to run a few errands and she had just finished right before the 1 hour mark. She refused cash and told me to pay with card. It was $35 and I wish she would’ve charged me more for the rush job. I have had several delicate and difficult alterations done here, including a chiffon layered pant for a wedding, and wow! Beautiful outcome every time. They do require an appointment for alterations now, so make sure to call ahead of time; that said, they are very accommodating for last minute appointments. “I came in with 3 separate special requests and Magnolia Cleaners was experienced, thoughtful, and patient enough to help me with all 3 issues. #1: I brought a vintage family item in...my mother's prom dress that I was planning to wear for an official event in Washington D.C. and the owner and/or manager was able to help me trouble shoot the best way to clean it including spot checking the fabric for me...problem solved! #2: I brought in a brand new tie that had wine and oil spilled on it the first time it was worn and they were able to get the stains out. And #3: I've been paying what feels like an obnoxious amount of money to have my puffy jackets cleaned and they quoted me a rate that was significantly below what I pay to another speciality cleaner. “Sunny and Bruce altered three poorly fitting, some not fitting at all, unwearable gowns for my wedding. The service was quick and reliable. They were so kind, and made sure I looked perfect for my wedding day. While I don’t recommend waiting last minute for these things, they pulled off a lot of work in a short window. Excellent hand and probably machine stitching (no obvious or harsh lines -like magic), a beautiful press, and confidence that in my opinion was well worth the dollar amount. She handled vintage, new, and heavily beaded garments with ease. I don’t have a lot of photos as my wedding was only a few days ago, but I wanted to make sure I left this review. “We have 13-foot ceilings, and wanted a custom drape look without the cost. My solution? I bought an extra-long set of ready-made drapes and a spare panel in a corrdinating fabric. I had Wardrobe Cleaners cut the spare in half and sew each piece to the bottom of the original panels. To disguise the seam, we added a wide decorative ribbon—it looks intentional and totally custom!
The result: a luxe, floor-to-ceiling drape look for a fraction of the price. ?“
