Jody did a fantastic job altering my wedding dress, and she offered multiple rounds of flittings to ensure it fit just right. Her skill working with difficult areas (like this dress's lacy bodice) and her attention to detail really blew me away. As someone who sews myself, I can truly see why she is a professional! Don't let the old reviews (under previous owner) deter you. I highly recommend her to all my friends, and for you to give her a try as well.

Being a short person... I need a good seamstress. I can do alot but making a sewing machine work is not one of those things. I have brought at least 6 items into this shop-- even a bathing suit-- and I was pleased with each and every one. Now my teenager (also short) has been using her services as well. She is always pleasant and attentive. YES, parking is a bit confusing (I park one street up on 34th or at the Subway)-- but that is not her fault. As for prices, well I have tried a variety of places over the years. You are paying for her time and she is worth it! This is definitely a local shop I am happy to support.

Jody is a miracle worker!!I already loved my wedding dress when I bought it and it fit pretty well, with only some minor adjustments needed. But who knew I could look THIS AMAZING in the final fitting of my wedding dress. When I went for my final fitting, the last thing she had to do was the bustle and she offered to get it done while I was there so that I could take it home same day.
