“We have had the privilege of working with NOR on two major remodels. The first was a kitchen, and the second—our most recent project—was nothing short of a complete transformation. When we began, our home was in very poor shape. The mechanical systems were failing, the structure was tired, and the spaces were no longer livable. NOR stepped in and led a comprehensive renovation that replaced every mechanical system (water, electrical, HVAC) a brought new life to the kitchen and main bathroom, added a whole new bathroom and two bedrooms, and reconfigured the staircase.

“Jason was leaking. Called H&M Air Duct Cleaning & Dryer Vent Cleaning Services Of WA. Jason came over the next day and assessed the unit. The leak required an additional part that he sourced quickly and came back to fix the unit. It works perfectly. Jason is a great communicator, friendly and dedicated.“

“When it was time to replace our roof, I got estimates from 3 companies and my interactions with Elliot at Oasis Construction were always positive. He was able to coordinate an initial visit within a day and provided an estimate within 24 hours. We had a lot of back and forth to go over the details of the estimate/contract, but that was all on me. I had lots of questions and Elliot was always so patient and I never had to wait long for a response. I was also getting other quotes using different roofing materials from Owens Corning and he agreed to redo his estimate using those same materials so that I could do an apples to apples comparison.Once we had sorted out the details, and I was looking at 3 different estimates, Elliot's cost was the lowest of the three. He was also willing to provide a payment plan that allowed us to extend our payments out 2 months. All of this added up to what felt like a great working relationship.We coordinated a start date, but adjusted because of the weather, and when the crew showed up to begin work, they were extremely kind and respectful. The work took a little longer than expected, in part because our roof has a lot of different, adjoining angles and overhangs, but also because there were 2 guys on the crew. A neighbor recently had their roof done and there was a crew of 8 people who got the job done in 2 days. With 2 guys, it took 6 full days of work. We didn't mind that it took a few days, especially with how wonderful everything looks, now that the work is done. They did an amazing job, and even patched up some holes that squirrels had made in the soffits. “Jim and his team are just phenomenal! I would not hesitate to hire them again! We discovered last September, through an unfortunate damp-wood termite incident, that we had a water damage problem in the wall of our master bedroom directly *below* the sliding door. I demolished the deck, (that was in need of rebuilding anyway,) in order to gain access to the siding below to assess the extent of the damage and found that it was, in fact, quite bad. (See pictures! ...it is estimated this was 8+ years of water-related rot.) I got it cleaned out, copper-greened, and covered in Tyvek for the winter so we could explore financing options. Fast forward to spring - We contacted Jim and a few other contractors in the area to get a bid. Jim provided us a very reasonable "materials + manhours" bid to repair the wall. It's spring, so they were about a month out on scheduling, but well within what I would expect for this kind of work from a contractor at this time of year. So fast forward to gig day - these dudes were in and out in mayyyyybe 2.5 days total, were incredibly professional, and did a bang up job of fixing this dang wall. (And for what it's worth - they had to build a retaining wall to hold up the floor, chip out the rot sections at a time, build support for sections they'd chipped out, and then replace with new timber. This was *not* a demo-and-go kind of gig.) I can't speak to other reviewer's experiences with Island Hammer, but mine was really fantastic. These dudes are on the level, and I would absolutely hire them again for any job big or small.Services: Exterior structural repairs“
