Over the 12 weeks we worked together (once a week), Mike provided a variety of training techniques and practical tips that made a huge difference in my dog’s behavior, obedience, and confidence. The training was real-world practice. We spent time at the Reston Town Center, surrounded by people and other dogs, applying everything in a real-life setting. I never imagined my dog could calmly sit or lie down in a busy store full of distractions, but that’s exactly what we achieved by week three. “We were able to board our pup of 4 years in very short notice. We could not be more grateful for Hometown to have availability for her to stay for almost a week. They were very accommodating, and had a schedule laid out to take care of her and take her on walks.
They were understanding of her nervousness, especially separation anxiety. When I called to check in on her, they responded with patience. They were supportive and honest on how she was doing.

The vets and techs are sensitive to my cat’s preferences, gentle during exams, and take time to explain everything clearly. When my cat shows signs of stress, they never push; instead, they suggest coming back another day for bloodwork if needed, which makes visits much more comfortable for all of us. “We take our dog here at least once a week for daycare and have also boarded her. She is always so excited to go play with her friends including the staff. The staff greet her by name. When we pick her up she has had so much fun that she doesn’t always want to come home. We feel safe leaving her there. We have been bringing our dog here for the last year and half.“

“Amazing experience I got my two boys groomed. They are senior dogs and have some arthritis in the back legs and some skin issues. She worked with and bathed them with a special shampoo for skin allergy. Also got recommended products for skin allergies and possible different diets for allergy sensitive dogs. She sent me pictures through out and updated me with anything I needed to know. Quick to responded and very timely. I recommend Anyone taking their time to do research on a good groomer to definitely take you dogs here. I couldn’t have had a better experience.“

“Montrose Pet Hotel is the best! Wonderful facility, very clean, and super quick drop off and pick up! I boarded my dog for the weekend and she came back very happy! “The grooming department is excellent. I have never disliked a hair cut my dog has gotten here. Kathy is super friendly and tries to get to know your dog. As far as Veterinary care, it's great, but seems a bit expensive to me compared to some other places. I toured the boarding facility today and I will just say I highly recommend taking a tour of ANY boarding facility prior to leaving your dog overnight. While the employee who gave the tour could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable, this is not a place I would board my dog based on the look and feel of the boarding facilities. It was not bright, cheery, happy, or fun looking whatsoever. The opposite.“
