“This will be a too long, too effusive review for ABWC. Our dog, Moose, was experiencing a string of weird behavioral episodes- shaking in the middle of the night, decrease in normal activity, and just not himself. Before coming to ABWC, we’d been to the emergency vet, several general vets, and specialists. None were able to locate any physical abnormalities or pain, so they concluded it must be a behavioral or psychological issue. The ABWC team and Dr. Eng could have taken that conclusion at face value and not done their own assessment. Instead, Dr. Eng did her own assessment, and noticed that he seemed to be favoring one leg. Many many vets before had not identified that. ABWC has an excellent relationship built in for just this scenario- a wonderful vet tech with a specialty practice in pain assessments. We went to her shortly thereafter and she provided a possible diagnosis which was later confirmed by another specialist and an MRI. In addition, during our time with ABWC, it was clear that they read all the paperwork and were committed to figuring out the root of the issue. They explained all the various medications and helped us understand where gaps were. It was a true conversation with a person committed to our pet’s well-being. After 8 months of mystery, only because of the care provided by ABWC were we able to get to the right people to make a diagnosis and treatment. We are forever grateful to the team at ABWC.”
