21715 I-10 Suite #110, San Antonio“Our three furry children have been with Dominion Vet for the last 4-5 years. They have always gone above and beyond for our routine puppy-dog needs, serving as a perfect home base for our dogs; an easy 5 star review. Yesterday Dominion vet’s resources and capability was tested beyond what I ever thought possible. My golden doodle (RUTHIE) was violently attacked by another much larger dog, resulting in massive blood loss from bites to her neck. She had little time and was bleeding profusely despite my family efforts at holding pressure. We live nearby, however the 1 mile trek felt like an eternity. Dominion vet was called and alerted of my family’s arrival and frantic state. Upon pulling into the parking lot, the team was ready and waiting in the parking to recover a blood soaked and actively bleeding nearly lifeless Ruthie. The entire team’s response was TV worthy and honestly unexpected from our neighborhood primary care. “CLEAR A TABLE!” Was yelled out from parking lot upon entering the clinic. Doctor Armstrong and Dr. Shaw were immediately on scene and began shouting out orders while also initiating emergent hemorrhage control, volume replacement through immediate IV access, obtaining STAT labs, all while simultaneously coordinating transfer to Mission Vet ER and offering reassurance to my panic-stricken mother. This is the “take over” feeling we all need during times of absolute helplessness. Ruthie needed blood and needed it fast. An employee whose animal was a universal blood donor was called for standby in case Ruthie was delayed in her transfer. Literally cannot believe he selflessness of these people! Upon acceptance and coordination of transfer to Mission Vet, the team saw how distraught my mother was and loaded Ruthie up ( without any question or hesitation) in the facility administrators van and transferred Ruthie themselves to Mission Vet with IV’s running. Ruthie rode accompanied with staff and my mother following. Both Mission vet and Dr Armstrong and Dr Shaw were in constant contact with one another, relaying information to myself and my wife about Ruth’s progress. Upon arrival Ruthie received the blood she needed and responded better than expected, giving her some improved prognosis at life. Her condition remains guarded however she remains in the fight only because of the quick response and expertise of Dominion Vet. My wife and I both work in emergency medicine. This would be considered a perfectly executed code and coordinated transfer to a higher level of care. An absolute perfect combination of professionalism, expertise, leadership, and genuine compassion. We are very great full for your care. A 5 star review simply does not capture the amazing level of care that was provided.“

4522 De Zavala Road, San Antonio“I was referred to South Texas Ophthalmology by my vet in Austin to look at a mass growing on my dog’s eye. Dr. Greller was great. He was able to remove the mass on my dog’s eye the same day of my initial appointment. He spent time explaining the diagnosis and going over my options for how to proceed. He was able to ease my concerns over putting my almost 14 year old Labrador retriever under anesthesia. I knew I was leaving her in good hands! They sent me a text update right before her procedure started to let me know she was doing great and called me right as she woke up to let me know everything went successfully. I can’t thank them enough for taking such great care of my dog, Belle!“

1242 Austin Hwy Suite 102, San Antonio“We joke that our Poppy girl is a frequent flier at Alamo Hills, but this month it was really true, as she gave us scare with breathing problems due to worsening Pneumonia. Dr. Campbell has cared for Poppy for years, and is exceptional. The office has regularly called to follow up on more severe situations (plural...she's a mess!), and this time the call prompted me to bring her back for an urgent re-check. We were immediately referred for specialty care, which resulted in an ICU hospitalization which likely saved her life. SO grateful for the entire kind & compassionate team at Alamo Hills Animal Hospital! Wish we were not on a first name basis...but glad I can count on the office to help with dog disaster after dog disaster. :)“

1051 Austin Hwy, San Antonio“Dr. LaBrie and his staff were amazing. We have 3 dogs (one super senior mutt, one newly senior puppy mill special and one psychotic anxious freak) and he was kind and caring to each of their individual needs. It was also the most informative vet visit I have had listing out multiple diagnosis possibilities, treatment options and next steps. I am so happy I have made this office the veterinary home for my dogs and won’t be changing.“

6758 Ingram Rd, San Antonio“Brought my new kitty here for her initial shots and wellness exam. I made an appointment prior so I was expected and we were seen promptly. They took care of her and I was asked questions from the vet to ensure I was keeping her lol I guess. It kinda felt like an interview but I understand why. Anyway, I plan on scheduling my kitty for a spay appointment soon. Great place for initial exams and shots at lower cost.“

6600 Prue Rd, San Antonio“I have been coming to this clinic for about 3 years. I always have positive experiences with them, they are very helpful, kind, and thorough. I really like that they check you out in the exam room so you’re not moving around a bunch and this helps my cat stay more calm. They also helped get my cat some medicine I can give her before her appointment so she’s not as nervous and this helps a ton. I am so grateful to have found this clinic and highly recommend them to everyone!“

6820 Alamo Pkwy #118, San Antonio“Dr. Shannon is the best veterinarian we have ever had. We have a whole zoo at our house, and we trust her with each of our furry family members.
We’ve had our pets go through highs and true lows, and each time we’ve been more than comfortable with their care in Dr. Shannon’s hands. You can tell she loves what she does as well as each of her patients. She goes above and beyond, will literally get on the floor with your pet to make them comfortable, and has kind and patient energy.
We hope we’re able to continue care with her as long as we live in San Antonio. :)“

1010 SW Military Dr, San Antonio“We have entrusted the care and health of all our family pets to Dr. Leland and his staff for many, many years. They are a happy group, the staff and doctor Leland are so caring of each pet they see. Our pets love to visit Pet Vaccination Clinic, they remember Dr. Leland and the staff. Dr. Leland helped us through a very tough time last year when we finally had to let go of our Buddy so he could rest. We were a mess, but he was very patient and kind in helping us work through it. A Compassionate Clinic“
