“Last month my mother passed away suddenly in Texas. I live in a different state. I was incredibly overwhelmed, didnt know exactly what to do and very upset. I started to look up funeral homes in the area and happened upon Heart of Texas Cremation. I read some of the reviews as many do, and saw others found them kind and professional. I took a chance and called. I forget the name of the lovely woman I spoke to on the phone at first but she was very sweet and comforting. After filling out my proper paperwork, I recieved a call from Marina Reyna. After she expressed her condolences, she explained that she would be my funeral director and took me through the process of having my mother cremated. She was kind and patient as I asked a million questions. She kept me updated on each step as it was happening. I cant say enough how I appreciated that. She took an incredibly hard situation, and made it a little easier for me. I would recommend her and Heart of Texas 10 times over. Losing a loved one is hard enough to begin with, having kind people help with this process means everything. Thank you Marina and the lovely ladies that work for you.“

“We were very pleased with every aspect of service provided by Castle Ridge Mortuary. From the moment the first person answered the call we were treated with respect, kindness and dignity. James the funeral director made the process of setting everything up as easy as possible, from insurance, ordering of death certificates and obituary to the flow of service. Hopefully we will not have the need to use the service again anytime soon, but Castle Ridge Mortuary will be our family’s Mortuary of choice.

“I am leaving five stars because the end product quality was very good. Now, we did not expect the project to take a year and a half for completion. The initial conversation and signed agreement specifically mentions that it could “possibly” take up to a year. If they would have told us it would take a year and a half, we would have looked elsewhere. Fortunately, we purchased the monument because we are handling all of our final arrangements in advance. It is our understanding that this monument company is now under the ownership of someone other than the Meier Bros. Again, the quality of work was very good. The time to build the monument was completely unacceptable and you need to take that into account before placing an order for a headstone from them.“

“I'm not sure who the funeral home used for flowers but we ordered the spray on the left, the cost with delivery was over $200 and the picture on the right is what was sent. Maybe the funeral home should rethink who they are using through their sympathy store. This was embarrassing that this is what was sent to my grieving friend and his family. Just shameful on their end.“
