“I have both recent and past history with this company. We had River City put in acacia floors in our downstairs areas in 2015. Our kids were 15, 11 and 9. We added a 100lb dog in 2016. The floors have held up beautifully. I’m shocked how little we’ve scratched them.. and in the areas that we did scratch (by moving furniture without first ensuring felt pads in place), how easily the scratches disappear with a bit of stain. The actual planks of wood themselves have had ZERO problems. So we planned to install the acacia flooring on the staircase and upstairs when we were able. We finally did this in September of this year. Once again, I watched the workmen installing these floors and thought to myself, “they are craftsmen, not just handymen.” The floors themselves are just beautiful, but they are elevated by the lovely baseboards they install so well. Their caulking is flawless and the baseboards mitered perfectly. The gentleman who corresponded with us was attentive, willing to text instead of call, transparent with quotes and fair when a small increase in cost was needed. “Update*Changing the rating since they finally came in and rectified the problem today, so changing the review to reflect the rest of the work that was done without issues.This is after the first day of installation. I called them and told them it's coming off and they can come and fix it any time, don't have to rush. I followed up after couple of days, made another few calls. The customer service did acknowledge and told me the installers would call me. This is probably third or fourth time I had called and followed up and no one called me back and my friends has been asking me why didn't go with Costco or some reputable organization. I went with CSC through a referral and now I feel like I should have gone with a reputable organization so they are committed to come back and address any issue promptly. Pretty frustrated that there's no perfection and with lack of perfection and accountability with CSC floors!“
