It has been a safe haven when we felt unsure of our safety, a comfortable place to bring our special needs little sister (and for her to fall in love with drag), a place to celebrate 80s prom, a place to stop by when we’re visiting the island and have our dogs, a place to play drag Bingo, and a place to tear up the dance floor - or not. You can head to the quiet upper deck outside for a quiet escape. The staff is welcoming, funny, and attentive. We might live there if we could. Thanks for being a place for all, Island Time! ?

I was a walk in, not a super clear idea of what I was looking for, I perused the flash and then chatted with the owner of the shop Jake, who was the chilliest dude ever. I gave him a vague idea of a wishbone and he banged out the sickest design in like 5 minutes. He even added some flowers that just tied the whole thing in. Jake was so fast and as crazy as it sounds pretty painless, you can tell this man knows his way around a tattoo machine. He gave me a clean bold bright tattoo. Nannette was wonderful! I needed a Keratin treatment and some kindness after losing my son, and she was the one! I've had Keratin treatments before, but this one was the best! I waited for several months to do the review, as the test of time is truly the test with Keratin. It helped up perfectly for 3 plus months! I couldn't recommend anyone more highly on the Island!

Jose is the truth! Googled Barber shops near me since I'm new to the island, picked this one because of the mom and pop vibe they seem to take care of you more at those spots. Anyways, I was right and this is my new barber from here on.
Leo (the owner) did a great job. I scheduled online, found the shop easily (it faces Stewart) and the price was right. After some discussion about what I wanted done - he went to work. The shop is spacious and well decorated, he also has large screen TVs and comfortable barbershop chairs. I’ll be returning to Island Faded Barber shop. .
While, I was on my vacation in Galveston, there was NO OTHER BLACK BARBER that would cut my hair without an appointment. But MAKERS BARBERSHOP.He was attentive to my needs.He cut my hair with passion and my head looked great.My haircut lasted about 5 weeks before I had to go for a new cut.Thank YOU SIR, FOR YOUR professionalism and care ???.

Came across this place when I was headed to the cruise. Needed a haircut. Wanted A simple zero fade. Antonio was my barber and he did a phenomenal job. These guys all were professional and what you expect from a classic barber shop. Five stars all around. $30 haircut.

Hey guys, if you can't reach your toes or your significant other doesn't want to cut your nails this is a great go to place . Actually make or female they are quick service, however I would recommend a reservation . They can get very busy . Easy parking and reasonably priced . My wife and I go as a couple and get some lunch afterwards.

Atmosphere has been my preferred salon for years. The addition of Madison for nails services is great. She did my nails and I was beyond excited. Madison is meticulous and did my nails in the “cat eye” technique to perfection! Definitely my new go to girl for all things nails!

I was only in Galveston for a few days, and was in desperate need of a haircut. Due to my busy schedule at home, I decided to google salons in the area. After calling a few other places, and either being met with an answering machine or no availability over the next few days, Hope answered my call and was able to book me for an appointment the following day.
Hope’s salon is small and very clean. After a warm greeting, Hope ushered me to the sink where she gave me an incredible hair/scalp scrub and conditioning. Once we moved to the styling chair, I showed her a few inspiration images of what I was wanting, and she confirmed length and overall style with me before proceeding.
Y’all… She absolutely nailed it! Throughout the process, she created a warm and comfortable atmosphere, provided pleasant conversation, and delivered exactly what I had asked for.

Susie pierced me and was AMAZING. She took her time and made sure everything was absolutely perfect before piercing. I had gotten my nipples pierced previously and they were super messed up. She made sure I loved the placement and made me as comfortable as possible. Her and her daughter are so sweet, fantastic people absolutely get pierced here!

I have used three cleaning partners in Galveston for my short-term rental properties. The first one was terrible, the second was good but very expensive, and Maid in Galveston is equally great with excellent service and at a fair and reasonable price. I have been using them for several months and am very happy with their attention to detail and level of cleanliness. They have their cleaning manager check my home after each clean, which I am very appreciative of. When there have been small issues (because no one is perfect 100% of the time) they have addressed them immediately and professionally. I consider them true partners in my business, so much so that I am hiring them to clean another property I am purchasing in Galveston.

I can’t say enough about the professionalism and pride involved in McNatt’s overseeing our roof replacement (and more) at the historic Clarke & Courts Building, now known as The Strand Lofts. Twice, John and crew were present at our owner town hall & board meetings and were beyond patient with explanations and expectations. John & Jeremy in particular were accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended, experienced and down to earth. Five stars! There’s a reason one sees their signage on construction sites all over Galveston - they know what they’re doing.

Their primary fabrication and ship repair facility is located at Pelican Island in Galveston, TX. It includes over 7 acres, a 4000 sq ft fabrication shop, a 2000 sq ft warehouse, and 500 ft bulkhead (14' water depth at dock) along the Galveston Ship Channel, a short 5-mile run to the Gulf of Mexico. Among other services, this facility fabricates high pressure piping, decks, boat landings, and structures of any size. They also have the ability to blast and paint in their 3000 sq ft blast yard.

Fabulous experience! Management gave us a reasonable quote to modify a gigantic aging pecan tree that potentially could damage our roof during storms. They also removed a secondary tree. I have been going to Dr. Magruder since he took over the practice. He was highly recommended by my friend. I couldn't believe how gentle he was and very informative on his procedures. But the best is he also fixed a gap between two teeth. I forgot to mention that Dr. Magruder also does cosmetic dentistry. His staff are very helpful and kind. We have used Dr. Blankenship and his staff for over 25 years and we drive quite a distance to go there. He has been top notch on every procedure and reasonable with what needs to be done. Everyone is professional, compassionate, and honest. Best experience of any dental office and I've been going to Dr Colombo for over 20 years. It's pretty obvious to me everyone enjoys what they do and they are good at it. Nerve blocks (numbing) are always painless and he is reassuring and patient. Unlike other offices, they strive to get your appointment ASAP, I've never had to wait more than a few hours if it was urgent and for routine visits, they've always booked my appointment no longer than 2 weeks out. Main issue is parking lot is shared with ice cream parlor and can be hard to get a spot.
The entire office staff, hygienist and Br Blankenship are awesome. Professional, friendly and very gentle work. Wish I had found them years ago.

Full 60 minutes, wonderful massage and super friendly staff. plus the owner told us some hot spots to hit up around town. great little place. I look forward to coming back.
The Wife and I were down here for our anniversary and received a couples massage here, and I have to say this was hands down the best massage both of us have every received! Smelled very nice, and the room was very cozy and inviting. They were Highly experienced listened to where I was tight and executed with the perfect amount of pressure. If we lived on the island we would come here weekly! Definitely will be coming here anytime we are In Galveston thank you.
First of all, driving to the location turns on the adventure mode of the brain. Out from the chaos and countryside vibes. Entering the facility, spiritual healing music already starts it’s therapeutic works. Tonie’s deep tissue massage works amazingly.
I had low back pain ended up to ER and tried the chiro as well but nothing got better. So, as a last resort, i was looking for massage. Fortunately, I went to see Tonie. Tonie did amazing healing massage on my severe low back pain. She gave me some Epsum salt for no cost, which helped me a lot for hot bath muscle relaxation.

Walked in there feeling old and broken. Walked out feeling 18 again!! Genesis really fixed main issue which was my hand/wrist. It was hurting so much that it hurt to even pick up a cup. At the end of our session I was able to move it and pick anything up with ZERO pain!!! She is absolutely the best at what she does!
I thank the stars that I was able to get a massage from Kristin while visiting Galveston! I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best - if not THE best massage - that I've ever had. I had filled out the intake form only an hour or so before my appointment, but Kristin was already prepared. The deep tissue massage that I selected included all my areas of concern, especially my neck, which she essentially worked magic on. Stress relief accomplished!
We reached out asking for a short notice booking and she wasn’t able to fit us in unfortunately but she took the time to refer us to someone she knows and trusts. Great massage! I was in town for vacation when my back started acting up. I called them at 2:25 and had an appointment for 3:00. I have had neck and back pain for 30+ years so I'm no stranger to chiropractors and massage therapist. This was on of the the best massages I've ever had
Went with a friend on April 8, 2026. Got a $95, 90 minute body massage. My masseuse was Danny, and he was excellent. I requested lots of massage time on my feet, and he really delivered. A couple times his pressure was too hard in other spots, but all I had to do was tell him that and he would correct it. I thought it was a very affordable, great massage.
