Dallas Academy of Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“This is a great dojo! I'm an adult student and one of my kids goes here too. The instructors are engaging, encouraging, and really skilled. I practiced martial arts as a youth with an excellent instructor but then took 30 years off! I came back as a beginner after seeing my son in class and realizing this is a wonderful gym/dojo. Also, the pricing is very reasonable and the workouts are great. Check it out and you will be glad you did.“

“Highly recommend training with Steve at Fighting 4 Fitness to support your fitness and health goals! I started training with Steve for specific goals I had during my pregnancy. Steve customized each weekly training session based on where I was in my pregnancy and my goals. These training sessions allowed me to maintain and gain strength and mobility which I believe supported me in a wonderful and healthy labor and delivery. Im now in postpartum recovery and feel my recovery has been smoother due to the training I had with Steve. Steve is an expert and customizes each session based upon each clients’ needs and goals. Aikido of Dallas Martial Arts Schools

“Aikidos of Dallas shines as a paradigm of martial arts virtue, skillfully blending physical mastery with character development. At the heart of this dojo's remarkable ambiance is Bob Mason Sensei, whose dedication and expertise in Aikido are unparalleled. His teachings transcend mere physical training, embracing the holistic ethos that Aikido is not only a martial art but also a path to becoming a better human being.

Central to this philosophy is the influence of Akira Tohei Sensei, whose legacy is deeply respected and integrated into the dojo's ethos. Akira Tohei Sensei, who trained Bob Mason Sensei, championed the idea of practicing Aikido as a means of personal and moral development. This philosophy is evident in every aspect of training at Aikidos of Dallas, where students are encouraged to evolve not just as martial artists but as individuals of strong character and integrity.

Yamada Sensei's teachings also play a significant role in shaping the dojo's approach. His emphasis on the traditional martial aspects of Aikido, balanced with a deep commitment to its peaceful and spiritual roots, offers a comprehensive perspective to the students. This blend of martial effectiveness with moral and personal growth is a testament to the multifaceted nature of Aikido as taught at Aikidos of Dallas.

The overarching influence of O'Sensei, the founder of Aikido, remains a foundational pillar of the dojo. O'Sensei's vision of the martial art as a vehicle for peace, harmony, and personal betterment continues to inspire and guide the teachings of Bob Mason Sensei. The respect and adherence to O'Sensei's philosophies are palpable, fostering a profound sense of purpose and community among the students.

In essence, Aikidos of Dallas is more than a dojo; it's a transformative space where martial arts training and personal development intersect. Guided by the wisdom of Bob Mason Sensei and inspired by the teachings of Akira Tohei Sensei, Yamada Sensei, and O'Sensei, it stands as a beacon for those seeking to enhance not only their physical abilities in Aikido but also their character and human spirit. This institution is a remarkable community, dedicated to the noble pursuit of personal excellence and the betterment of society through the disciplined and thoughtful practice of Aikido.“
