“Literally one of the best decisions that I made was signing my child up at Genesis Taekwondo! The curriculum is so well rounded in teaching, confidence, discipline, and mental focus, all the while having fun! The instructors are phenomenal with scaffolding on the student’s knowledge, while building them up into the best version of themselves. Truly a genuine place, full of genuine people that want the best for your child!“

“I'm not sure how I missed reviewing HEB Martial Arts; I might be so close that I forgot to review it. It's a family, and the journey started almost eight years back. I came to this facility to have my little one trained, and if I a not wrong, I paid for three months, and two days later, my kid refused to go saying she doesn't like taekwondo. I asked Master Christy to return the money, and without asking anything, she returned all the money. Can you believe this? Trust grew, and here we are, my kid and myself, practicing at this location for almost eight years now, and my kid is now a second-degree blackbelt. Since I am associated for so long, I will have my bias, but I will try to be truthful. Master Christy and the army will try to help you learn, grow, be self-reliant, fit, and train to be a black belt. You learn to protect yourself and, most importantly, learn to be a good human being. There are many hidden gems here, Master Justin, Master Jean, and many more. Master Jean gives motivational, inspirational, and life-changing speeches that will bring positive changes to you. These pearls of wisdom are precious and rare. Overall, there are great things to learn that will help your physical, mental, and overall growth; these learnings should help you academically, your career, and in other places.“

“I recently joined Alvarez BJJ and so far everyone has been very welcoming. The staff and coaches are amazing and the facility is very clean. I chose to join this team because of the accomplishments and knowledge Coach Alvarez has to offer. Everyone on the team including all the coaches have been very helpful and I will continue my Jiu jitsu journey with this team.“

“I've been training with the OKCD for a few years now and love it. The instructors and the people running the school are so kind and welcoming that you can't help but feel like you're joining a community first and training karate second. I have a few years of martial arts training under my belt in many different arts from before my time at OKCD, and I gotta say that I've never felt more at home than I do at OKCD. Everyone who trains and teaches there LOVES karate and it's hard to miss. There isn't any kind of "we're better than everyone else" bravado and there aren't any cliques within the dojo. It's just training and exploring ideas and concepts within the curriculum.I truly believe that the culture of a school, or business for that matter, comes from the top and trickles down through the ranks. Because this dojo was founded by people who are passionate about martial arts and the sharing of the style they fell in love with, that mentality of just appreciating where you are and exploring the movements is prevalent throughout the entire school. I spent many years searching for a dojo to learn traditional Okinawan karate from, and I'm so thankful I found OKCD. Looking forward to many more years making new connections and meeting people who share a love for all things martial arts.“

“My son has been coming here for two years and we have nothing but positive things to say about the dojo. When we arrived, it was apparent that they care deeply about all their students as they check in on us frequently whether that be for him being sick or injured. The dojo will forever have a place in our hearts.“

“We love KTI and I would recommend them to anyone! Master Landers is a great instructor and my son learned so much from her. The owners Master and Mrs. Monroe are very invested in the children and really helped my son to focus more and improve his behavior. My son was in the after school program which is affordable (less than many daycares in the area) and you get a lot more from the program. He was able to participate in the regular classes and excelled, earning several belts in a six month period. There's also a family class available which is awesome. Thank you KTI for everything!“
