“My family and I have been going to Wilken family eye care for years for routine eye visits, glasses, and contacts. They have always been great and we’ve always loved the office and staff. Recently I had an emergency….. I got a piece of my exfoliater in my eye and it felt like a piece of glass rolling around my eye. I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t get it out. It was so painful I can’t even explain it. I called Wilken and David ( who is usually fitting me for glasses) answered the phone. I explained the situation and he put me on hold to run after Dr. Wilken who was already heading to his car at the end of his day. They told me he would wait for me to come in right then. He was so gentle and kind, and got the particle out of my eye. Because of the numbing drops they put in my eye I couldn’t tell if he got everything out, but he couldn’t see anything else so I went home. I couldn’t believe that a few hours later he actually texted me to make sure I was okay and that he got everything out of my eye!! I’ve NEVER had a doctor text me after any visit! I am so grateful and appreciative to Dr. Wilken, David, and this office!!! Thank you!!!! I cannot recommend this eye doctor enough!!!“
