Not many homes come with an artisanal well in the basement like our 1950's era rancher did when we purchased it in the late 80's. Originally, the well served as the water source for the property but had long since been inactive with the modern well system installed in the 70's. Basically, it was a below basement floor grade 6' x 8' pit that was constantly filled with crystal clear water that rose and fell with the water table.This room remained untouched for decades but served as a water source for filling toilets when the power was down during storm events. There was a four-inch exit pipe just below the floor level and when the water table rose, it would simply drain out under the driveway and into a larger drain at street level. Unfortunately, as the regional water levels began to rise in the creek across the street, due to climate change and increasingly larger water events, this drainage system became ineffective and problematic. We sadly had at least a half dozen times when we had to rely on temporary sump pumps to be hastily prepared to fight the rising water table in this area. The basement flooded twice in significant events, and we are getting to old to manually move water buckets upstairs to help the sump pumps running up a flight of stairs and out the front door.We consulted many trades to seek a proper solution but found few remedies given the very unique nature of this water issue.We had a friend whose basement had previously flooded two times, insurance claims both times, with the last time finding a proper solution from Mike and Basement Lifeguard. From that, we called him out to survey our peculiar issue.We showed him the problem and he devised a plan to completely seal the old well by installing a oversized sump pump, surrounding the pump with drainage pipe and then stabilizing that structure with loose gravel. Cement was added to the top to completely finish the project and a marine backup battery was added to the hardwired system to serve as an emergency power source in times of no electrical service.It's been over six months since the instillation, and we are happy to report the system is everything promised in the original discussions with Mike. He has promised to check with us about our satisfaction (done) and in that conversation I asked if I could post a Google review (done).I would like to recommend the consultation, advice and installation work we received from Mike at Basement Lifeguard.

I have been seeing Rosanna for 10+ years for massage and now acupuncture and would HIGHLY recommend her! I can't speak highly enough of John and First JENNERation Painting and Renovations. We just purchased a new house and I am SO happy we decided to go with John for painting and other updates to help make it our own home. He was super helpful during the entire process and even came over to discuss color options with my wife and I the night before the project started. We have been going to schwenksville vet for about 8 years. Front desk staff is friendly. The office is clean. Wait times are typically minimal. The nurses and doctors always get down and greet our dogs. It does take a while to schedule a well visit, but other visits are easy to schedule. I had to use other vet offices for my foster pup for coverage reasons - it was an eye-opener. Schwenksville vet is all around a great choice for vetininary care!

Small NaturalLands preserve, less than a mile in trail distances, neighborhood noise (chain saws, target shooting and street noise), however it had beautiful moss covered rocks and a little owl. Good one for kids to explore. Owl pellets under pine trees, mossy rocks that look like forests close up and tree roots suspended over a creek. It’s in the details! Let the imagination of kids take you on this one, not the mileage.

WagMore is awesome. I bring Katy once or twice a week. As soon as I tell her we are going to the daycare she gets super excited. All of their staff is super cool. They always greet us with a smile and tell us how happy they are about having Katy with them.They do a lot of different activities like playing at the pool, playing with bubbles and many others. They also host events like Shark Week, Halloween or St Patrick's.We really like them and what's most important Katy loves going to WagMore.
