“Had Chris G. From R&D HVAC come to give a 2nd opinion (actually the 3rd professional opinion) regarding what I was told by another area large HVAC company ( Mattioni) in regards to a “cracked heat exchanger” and said I could replace it under a part warranty or replace the unit ”. The 1st “second opinion” told me the heater exchanger was not cracked . So I called R&D to be the tiebreaker. Chris was VERY thorough and explained everything as well as did a combustion analysis and thorough inspection and testing including propane gas pressures. He determined that the heat exchanger was NOT cracked and was functioning properly. He also identified abnormal propane gas pressure issue and ultimately determined that the system was not properly switch from natural gas to propane ( simple spring switch change) when originally installed by Sila HVAC in 2019. He made the adjustments and retested. Very impressed with his. Do it right attitude and his knowledge as well as willingness to explain everything clearly.
