“It's very nice to take a walk in this cemetery and there are markets and other events. There is also a greenhouse selling stuff. The greenhouse has Mint infused water and coffee. I love the Mint water. This cemetery is amazing.“

“I haven't been doing well since my fathers passing but the people at Marvil (including Tracy) made it a professional and genuinely kind experience. I knew he was in good hands there.. They went above and beyond before and after they cremated my father. Even though we didn't pay for a viewing, they set him up in a dimly lit intimate room so I could see and touch my father and cry one last time. They had him wrapped and he had a peaceful expression on his face. It was a beautiful send off.After his cremation his bank was giving up no option but to put his minimal amount of money in an estate fund even though he had no estate whatsoever. We called Marvil again and they directed us to a different bank and they even printed out official documents for us to show the bank to further prove I should receive the limited amount of money. I know this is a long one but I really wanted to genuinely thank the team at Marvil for doing all of this for me. I wish the best for you all and the way in which you handled my fathers passing will be something ill never forget. Everything was beautiful and I am eternally grateful. Bless you all.“

They handled my grandmother's funeral...my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family...my father...and now my mother. John Ashcraft now runs the funeral home that his father ran. He was incredibly kind, patient, and considerate the entire time. He provided exactly the type of service we asked for. Granted, we didn't ask for much. We didn't provide a livestream video for those who weren't able to attend as I hear is sometimes done today. But the point is, I can't imagine working with anyone else. “A Funeral Home is one of these unexpected businesses, better yet, institutions, where people have to go when the unexpected happens. No one likes to think about the end of life and yet it is about the only permanent thing in life. Finding a good funeral home is key to the grieving process as well as ensuring a good departure for the loved one. My partner's mum passed suddenly on the return from our vacation to my mountain home. A shocker to everyone. The way our society has it scheduled, the process of grieving has to be done hand-in-hand with the business transactions that accompany dealing with an undertaker. That can add a substantial burden to the family, especially in the many cases where the funeral director is less than reputable. My partner's family went with this funeral director through a recommendation and it was a great recommendation for sure. John handled every detail with courtesy and aplomb, besides a welcoming serenity that made the business process second-nature. From assembling the viewing in compliance with every family dictate and wish, to scheduling the funeral details and post-funeral dinner, every detail seemed seamless. Frankly, I hope that I don't have to deal with another mortuary director. But in this case, everyone felt at ease through the demonstrated competence of the funeral director, which made the mourning process much more bearable. Kudos to him.“
