He actually spent time educating me on they way a/c units work. Definitely something he did not need to do on a week when he was swamped with work caused by Hurricane Ida. I later found out his office was also flooded and was still under several inches/feet of water. Yet, all his staff were friendly, helpful and professional. If they give this level of service during a natural disaster, I am looking forward to seeing the type of service they give when they fully recover. “In Sept 2023, Mark & Mark Jr came out to do an annual service check on my really ancient-but-reliable gas hot water heating system. My previous heating guy had retired earlier this year & after asking around a bit, someone mentioned Link Heating & Cooling. I was a bit apprehensive that a new HVAC person would find my system "too old" to mess with. Mark & Mark Jr didn't bat an eye - they checked it over thoroughly & all was fine. He had the job completed in an hour and a half and cleaned up after himself and hauled away the old tank. While he was here I was prepping him for the next job that I am going to ask him to tackle and he has already agreed to take it on. I will use him every time from this point forward. “We have been using Boyd's since we moved into our home in 2014. Over the years they have replaced our geothermal system, hot water heaters and did some simpler annual maintenance for us. They come when they say they are coming and charge reasonable prices. Just last week our AC stopped working and while it was no emergency (we certainly could live without it till they could fit us in) they were right out and made the repair.Services: A/C system maintenance“

“Updated: 2/9 spoke with manager - Ledi -who explained well the pricing, process, and business practices of the company. He was patient and willing to answer additional questions. The labor charges were for two workers for 1.5 hours, and the promotional charge for cleaning the ducts is discounted, but the mold treatment charges reflected full services charges for the treatment. He itemized the costs more specifically for the job that was completed. Ledi offered to provide money back to the owner and I let him know that was not necessary, as his explanations had resolved the areas of concern factually. Moving the review to 4 stars based on additional info and manager response.____________2/7 - Hired to clean ducts in less than 1200 Sq ft home, The house has 7 vents and three returns. Original price given to clean vents was $193.09 (including labor). House is owned by senior citizen, who asked about mold treatment. Property manager was unable to be present. Technician went ahead with mold treatment and charged $45 for vents, $35 for returns, and $196 x 2 for main ducts - for an additional $475 to apply Spoziciden (retail $75-150/gal). Total bill $603.23 (after $34 tax, and $100 "sr discount"). Labor time in total was about 1.5 hours start to finish. Cleaning was well done.Contacted office to speak to manager for detailed explanation of costs. Very disappointed and concerned about business practice and expense. The duct cleaning price is aligned with market avg. The mold treatment is excessively expensive, especially considering the house has not had a history of mold, and as a rental has regularly had ozone treatments (when vacant) between tenants. (Will update review if/when company responds.)“
